This is now the third strike with Grubhub, and I am officially done!
Strike one: My first order was canceled without any notification because the restaurant had apparently changed its name. I waited over an hour before discovering this on my own-completely unacceptable.
Strike two: I spent $90 on food, only for the driver to lock themselves out of their car. The food arrived extremely late and cold. GrubHub’s solution? A measly $10 credit.
Strike three (and the last straw): Today, I attempted to use the $10 voucher from their prior mistake. I noticed the driver sitting at the restaurant for an extended period, so I took the initiative to call the restaurant. Turns out, they never even received my order! When I contacted GrubHub, they claimed they didn’t know why the order didn’t go through, then canceled it and offered a refund. When I reminded them of the $10 voucher I used, I was told it couldn’t be reinstated because it had already been “used”. After demanding to speak with a manager, I was given a partial refund of $17. That’s it?!
This level of incompetence and lack of accountability is outrageous. I will never use Grubhub again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values their time, money, or a stress-free meal experience.
