We received a wrong sushi roll, so I immediatly contacted Grubhub and was told our account would be refunded; however, it wasn't. When I contacted Grubhub again, I was told that my request the request was not in the system so the refund cannot be given. I will now take a screen shot whenever I have to request a refund. It is sad that you cannot trust a business that is unreliable.

I thought I was going to do some damage with my Grubhub review but it looks like I should have read the reviews first. I can't make it any worse. I've spent a lot of money with this company and I've never had worse service from anything other than Uber Eats. Orders are never right and never on time. Don't waste your money on this service. Trust me, get in your car, jump on your bike and save yourself the hassle of having a bad experience.

Always late. Food is cold. Today they left it at the wrong apartment. I called the driver and he would not bring it to me. I went downstairs and the people had MY food in their apartment opened and they refuse to refund me

Unlike Doordash, GrubHub REQUIRES you to come to your door and give a code. It's ridiculous and annoying. I'm sticking to doordash from now on.

Grubhub's GPS repeatedly changed my drop off address to another location 5 blocks away resulting in numerous misdeliveries and refunds from them. I stopped using it for and joined Doordash that has had inaccurate delivery drop off. Before I did so, I spoke to 6 grubhub customer service reps in attempting them to correct the address with no result. With some couriers who answered they phones (a minority) I was able to guide them to the correct drop off address and they showed me their order sheet that featured the incorrect address so the misdelivery was the app's fault not theirs. Though. when I previously stipulated face to delivery in an effort to forestall misdelivery the majority of couriesr would still drop off the order on the street by the loced front door of the incorrect address even when I contacted them by phone and texted with photos of the correct drop off.

I had 3 orders in a row that were 40+ minutes late. The third one was the last straw for me. I tried to get a refund since my food was completely cold and inedible. They only countered me with a 5 dollar discount (60 dollar order). Absolute terrible customer service. Really hope this company craters one day from the face of the earth.

Ordered a sandwich from subway and all they delivered is a bag of chips. Call the support number and they told me it was my fault. They still changed me for the sandwich I didn't get.

Placed an $80 order around 7pm, delivery was originally 8, then 9, then 9:45, was unable to reach the restaurant by phone, so decided to go to restaurant and see if order was ever picked up, woman at restaurant said our food had been sitting over an hour. She was kind enough to remake our order for free, after getting home we get the message from the delivery driver with picture saying our food is delivered. Mind you we picked up our order ourselves, anyhow the picture was taken from the dollar general driveway two blocks away from my house. I'm telling everyone to never use grubhub. We did manage to get $15 returned and $10 credit, which will not be used since I'll never use them again

man, i sure wish i could review how their food tasted and their delivery, unfortunatly everything has delivery paused for "high demand" so it looks like i wont be eating today, thanks grubhub

Multiple times I got a message food delivered, never received it, after waiting an hour. Now I'm told I can't get a refund and it will be another hour for delivery. Check out the photo the driver took how is this accepted.

I did an order from safeways grubhub texted and asked if I wanted to add or change order, I requested they change 1% milk for full and submitted. I received 2 orders (one ok the other 5 substitutions) I contacted Grubhub and they said I am supposed to call to change as driver was already shopping (not true, notification from Safeways that driver on the way to the store) Grubhub, basically too bad stuck with 2 bills. Plus no credits with Safeways, stick to Safeways delivery in future.

Grub hub drivers are not trustworthy. They will leave your order in random places and not even help you when they drop it off in the wrong place. That system does not notify of the drivers arrival and the prices are more than other online ordering platforms. Never again!

Submitted an order for delivery. Driver “delivered” the order but it was no where to be found and the photo provided was a zoomed in photo of the bag the food was in. Literally zero background in the photo. Contacted Grubhub and they said they could re-order the food. I asked if I could pick it up to ensure I would get my order and they said no. After 40 minutes I received a notification that my order was canceled by the restaurant because the driver was too far and the restaurant was closing. That part is on the restaurant. But why on earth would Grubhub even allow the order to be submitted if it wasn’t able to be picked up on time? After that customer service said there was nothing else they could do. Awful service!

I ordered $80 of food from Raising Cane's for my family. 10 minutes before the scheduled delivery time I get a text saying my order was cancelled. A few minutes later, some guy calls to let me know that my order was cancelled due to problem with their computer. When I called customer service I was told that the driver's car broke down & that's why my order was cancelled. Apparently there's only 1 driver available in Henderson, NV. Then after complaining about the 3-5 business days to get my money back, I get another call from Customer Service. This one said something about the driver's card wasn't good. When I asked about what does the driver's card have to do with my order, the rep told me that since Cane's isn't affiliated with GrubHub, the driver has to pay for my food. The idiots working for this company are incompetent. Why should I pay upfront for food if it gets cancelled last minute & then I have to wait a week to get my money back. Never again.

Grubhub has lost my business. Driver wore a mask at the time of delivery. Security could not make out the name she requested so delivery was refused. Driver did not call me to let me know what was happening. I requested a full refund to my card and was told I would only get their 'credit' on my next order. There won't be a next order - cost was $20.67 for a 6" sandwich and chips, the rest was their fees and a tip. Never ever again.

I am appalled at how Grubhub handled a recent delivery that caused permanent oil stains from my driveway all the way up to my front porch. On April 16, 2025, their driver left a leaking bag on my property. The oil trail damaged my brick pavers—this is not just a mess, it’s lasting property damage. I submitted photos and video as proof. Grubhub’s response? A boilerplate email saying they’re not responsible and a $5 credit as a consolation. Five dollars. For permanent damage to my home’s exterior. There was no real investigation, no attempt to make things right, just a dismissive form letter and a laughable credit. After years of using Grubhub, this experience has shown they will not stand behind their service when something goes wrong. I’ve filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be taking this further. Customers beware—if your property is damaged, they won’t help you.
