Grub Hub, delivered my food today. I never order if Grub Hub is the delivery method. I located a restaurant through Yelp and really wanted to try it. It was expensive but for one time I figured ok. I placed my order. The estimated time was about 50 minutes from the time I ordered. I waited for about an hour. I called customer service to tell them I did not get my food. The representative tells me it was delivered at 3:30. I went to the door. It was there. It sat on the porch for about 40 minutes. I was not happy about that because of possible contamination and the fact I did not get a text or call or knock on the door when it was dropped off.
I called Grub Hub. Rep tells me how she cannot offer compensation for this. I ask to speak with a supervisor. I wait on hold until the call drops. I call back. Get lots of “I understand how you feel.” “I’m sorry” “An investigation will be done.” I am told no compensation. I was not asking for the entire order to be credited. I get on the phone with a supervisor. Same thing. She tells me that Grub Hub will not compensate anyone who orders through Yelp. She did not offer any compensation to me at all. Grub Hub did not take any responsibility for their lack of customer service. The reps just keep saying the same things over and over again. If they would have credited the tip I gave the driver and delivery fees I would have been happy. Now I have to say Grub Hub is horrible.
