I am appalled at how Grubhub handled a recent delivery that caused permanent oil stains from my driveway all the way up to my front porch. On April 16, 2025, their driver left a leaking bag on my property. The oil trail damaged my brick pavers—this is not just a mess, it’s lasting property damage.
I submitted photos and video as proof. Grubhub’s response? A boilerplate email saying they’re not responsible and a $5 credit as a consolation. Five dollars. For permanent damage to my home’s exterior.
There was no real investigation, no attempt to make things right, just a dismissive form letter and a laughable credit.
After years of using Grubhub, this experience has shown they will not stand behind their service when something goes wrong. I’ve filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be taking this further.
Customers beware—if your property is damaged, they won’t help you.
