Outrageous experience.
Bought a phone described as excellent.
Battery needed replacing after one month. So called up and thought I had been told I would be sent an envelope to send the phone back. I may have misheard or misunderstood...they say they said they would send an envelope label which may have gone to spam or junk. No envelope arrived so I decide to to pay Apple £45 for a new battery. Apple opened it up and said that they could only repair it for £300+ because the tabs had been removed. SO I followed up with Handtec who told me that the warranty was void because Apple had opened the phone. End result is that if the battery had failed further down the line Fter 1 year the warranty would not have applied AND Apple would only do a major job for over £300. SO the phone will be heading for the
bin unless I have the energy to bring a claim in the small claims court...probably what I'll do.
