My car failed it's MOT last week on acocunt of a headlamp misalignment apparently... it had passed every other year without an issue so i was surprised to say the least. they offered to adjust the beam to get it through its MOT for £30 + vat but i declined as i wanted a second opinion.
I took it to another garage who assured me the aligmennt was fine and so i put the car back in for a retest and it passed.
i do hope i ma wrong but it feels like this could have been an opportunistic way to scam £30 off me for work that wasnt needed although i do say again, i do hope i ma wrong but how else can you account for the car failing before and passing now, without any work having been done on it?
