“Absolute nightmare! Have used this company in Grimsby for absolutely years for all my family’s cars, but never will I set foot in one again! Took my car in recently for a £30 puncture repair and I didn’t notice until the next day that there was grease all over the alloy.. when I cleaned it off there was deep scuffs and scratches in the middle part of the alloy. Cut a long story short I sent pics as requested and they said we don’t touch the middle part of the wheel so it’s not been done by us and they literally said so that’s the end of the matter!! Disgusting behaviour from a so called reputable company, bunch of cowboys if you choose to use the Grimsby branch of this company.. you have been warned,”
“In the past I found Taunton National tyres to be ok but since going with Halfords it's gone down hill booked my car in for one o'clock for puncher repair, when I said I understand things happen but what's the point of booking a car in for a time to fit in with other things if you cant do it at that time, woman replied saying its up to you, you can either take the car or wait knowing I have little choice but to wait, no doubt when they get around to doing my tyre they will say i need a new tyre which i don't, if I wasn't desperate on a Sunday I would of gone somewhere else for sure absolute redicous one woman been waiting three hours.

“I booked +paid for 4 tyres to be fitted on my car ,+tracking+balancing more than a week ago
They were to be fitted at Halfords in Shoreham W.Sx
When I arrived there I was told the tyres I had paid for are not available or made any more but they could fit different ones that would cost me approx £300 more

“Wouldn't even rate them one star, avoid this place at all costs. Took my car for service/MOT and come away with over £300 worth of paint chips/scratches to my car, did think it was unusual that they were taking so long with my car. Also requested a price for a job to my car and they never got back to me, which now I know why. How you manage damage a car with sensors fitted i don't know - clearly ignored the warnings.
Also went to here for a free brake check and they lied about needing you brake discs/pads, also proved that when going for MOT/Service because they note the wear to the pads.
Will never use again and will make everyone aware of how dishonest they are, even contacted customer service at halfords and they aren't interested.”

“Very disappointed with the price I was charged. I initially went in for a slow puncture repair, but was told it couldn’t be repaired and I needed a new tyre. I ended up being charged £200 for a Continental EcoContact. The fitting only took about 20 minutes, and their customer service team later confirmed the tyre itself costs less than £90. I also found the same tyre, including fitting, at Kwik Fit for just £134. Based on this, I don’t believe £200 is a fair price.”

Instructed to visit local centre on Tuesday 8am (1 hour drive) to be told my car was booked in but tyres wasn’t. Would have been nice if I was informed of this on Monday!!Wouldn’t have been so bad but had slow puncture on rear😡😡. Not a good Tuesday morning for me!!”

“They worked on my car and left it in a very bad state, when I called to report, I was told that, that's what it was meant to be as the break pads and discs were new, the car would not stop even on the hills, I decided to bring it back anyways, so I called them to check on the car, they told me that, they didn't understand what I was talking about, they checked the car,everything was perfectly fine, so I went back to collect the car, only to find out that they had fixed it, that made me really annoyed, because they couldn't even admit their fault, they gave me back a faulty car putting me and everyone else on the road in danger, for what????
They are not professional, they were trying to downplay what they had done, and that to me made it worse, absolutely disgusting 😑”
“I scheduled to have 4 new tyres fitted on a Vauxhall at Taunton branch of Nationaltyres. Took the car down and just like previous visits, the mechanics were arsing about in the workshop, throwing things at each other, chasing each other around like kids, instead of concentrating on the work. I told the manager that this wasn't acceptable while they were performing safety critical work on people's cars. He handed me back my keys and told me to leave.
The Taunton branch is staffed by unprofessional cowboys who, in my opinion, are dangerous. I would advise anyone to take their vehicle elsewhere in the interests of safety.
The manager there is unprofessional and should be replaced. The Taunton branch is doing dangerous practices on people's cars by allowing staff to fool about all day. Go to Kwik Fit instead.”
“Avoid at all costs! As you will be out of pocket! booked my car in for 4 new tyres plus balancing. Paid extra for a slot at perk time and told it might take to the end of the day but challenged due to it been booked at 11am. Drove straight home and seemed ok but noticed minimal steering shaking. Checked tyre pressure and different on all four.
Driving to work on the motorway car started shaking more aggressively so called back into the shop and told them my concerns and when they rechecked stated a weight on the tyre might have fallen off i asked them do what you need to get it sorted cause feels very dangerous.
Now second time tyres rebalanced and this time even worse when driving on the motorway so I took the car to a different garage
I was told all wheels were unbalanced the other shop showed me on the machine that all wheels were way off on balance absolutely shocking. Front drive 40 grams, front passenger 20grams, back passenger 40 grams and back driver side 80 grams 🤯
Disgraceful that they can cause themselves professional in this industry with such differences!
I highly DO NOT recommend people to go there as they don’t know anything about tyres and potentially causing great harm to yourself and your car!!”
“Ordered tyres yesterday with appointment for this morning. I arrived on time but no tyres. Knob end behind the desk blamed me for booking the tyres in the afternoon and making a morning appointment. Cancelled order and wont be back.”
“Called into the Chaddesden branch in Derby. Asked about swapping TPMS sensors from 2 sets of new wheels and balancing, to be told "we can't do it because I don't know how to charge for it"? The rude operative who the polite receptionist summoned from the workshop told me that I "needed to go to a back street garage for that"! Ironically the whole place looked like a backstreet outfit or slightly tidier scrap yard. Idiots.”
“AVOID!! Went in for an MOT and service where they changed my rear right shock. There was a strange clanging sound coming from the car so i took it back, they then said they couldn't hear anything but it was very obvious!
I took it back and they have made the problem worse (and admitted to it), it's now been 2 weeks without any resolution and i still don't have a car, customer service is talking to managers to try and fix it but the problem is indefinite! They refuse to pay for a hire car and i'm loosing money everyday as i need the car for work!”
“I can’t put zero starts went to national tyres in Warrington for a wheel alignment, the car was only veering slightly to the left when it came back out the steering wheel was sat crooked as of it was pointing to 1 o’clock if I steered it straight the car nearly mounted the kerb,took it straight back the guy adjusted it said somehow it had gone back out of alignment, I’d only drove it quarter of a mile he readjusted it, this made it slightly better but then refused to do it again, absolute untrained cowboys I’d never use national tyres again ended up getting a refund”
