Over two weeks ago, a TPM sensor in my wheel was damaged during a tyre replacement carried out by your team. Since then, I have been chasing your company for resolution through numerous calls and emails, only to face delays and a complete lack of support. Despite my persistent efforts, I have found it impossible to speak to a manager or anyone capable of addressing my concerns effectively. The level of customer care provided is wholly inadequate and has caused unnecessary frustration and inconvenience. AVOID!!!!!! A963B014528

Trustpilot reviews Thanks for your review! National Tyres and Autocare - Aylesbury Add photo Your review is pending.Read less It may take up to 2 hours to appear on Trustpilot. Learn more Angie 0 reviews GB Rated 1 out of 5 stars Aylesbury National Tyres-con artists If no stars was an option, that's what I'd give. Absolutely appalling service! 5 days of work missed due to complete incompetence of the "Manager" not doing my booking correctly or booking me in when the mechanics were already overrun with jobs and weren't able to fit me in! Finally get my car in and it's come out with more issues than when it went in! Work was completed that hadn't been agreed so over £800 of work that I've paid for unknowingly (I wasn't given my failed MOT certificate so I didn't know until I'd already paid that they'd done unauthorized work). I've been waiting for the refund now for almost 6 weeks, have asked to be able to take my car to an independent garage at no cost to myself as their staff are clearly unable to diagnose and repair issues that were caused at their garage! I've been chasing constantly as they just don't seem to care or want to get this resolved as the regional manager has been meant to call me for the past 3 weeks to come to a resolution but no attempt made on his part. All of the contact made has been from myself or the odd email from customer service with endless lies seemingly because nothing that they've promised has come to fruition! My only next step is to take this matter to the small claims court and trading standards! If someone from customer service wants to reply to this my case reference is 24649757.

I needed 4 new tyres and having dealt with National Tyres for a number of years I went on to their website entered my registration number and a range of option tyres came up, I made my selection paid the invoice and was given an appointment time at Warminster. When I arrived I was early but it was very quiet and the receptionist said there was no problem going ahead with the job. I took a seat in the reception area and after about 30 minutes I was informed that the tyres would not be able to be fitted as I had ordered the wrong tyres and that they were a different size. When I explained that I had entered my registration number into their system and they had given me the option I decided on. I also asked him why he had taken 30 minutes to tell me this information. The receptionist became quite defensive saying it was my problem and I should have checked, I stated that there was little point in having an online system if it did not work. I was then told to get out in a very abusive way, I noticed the mechanics sitting in the back office all started to laugh at this outburst from the receptionist .Being a pensioner and 70 years old I was shocked and stunned by this outburst, the receptionist further stated that he had refunded my money and again told me to get out, he came round from the back of the reception desk, opened the door and told me to get out again. At no time was I apologised to for the inconvenience or offered an alternative solution. This mans behaviour was both frightening and completely out of place for someone in a customer facing role, he should not be treating customers like this. I immediately telephoned customer services and requested a refund and some sort of explanation as to why a major national company would treat its customers in such an appalling way. I was assured I would receive an immediate refund and someone would be in touch later in the day to speak to me. Surprise, surprise, I have not received a refund, or a call from anyone, in fact Halfords have not even acknowledged my contact. Avoid this company like the plague, they are not interested in customer service. Date of experience: 25 November 2024

My car failed it's MOT last week on acocunt of a headlamp misalignment apparently... it had passed every other year without an issue so i was surprised to say the least. they offered to adjust the beam to get it through its MOT for £30 + vat but i declined as i wanted a second opinion. I took it to another garage who assured me the aligmennt was fine and so i put the car back in for a retest and it passed. i do hope i ma wrong but it feels like this could have been an opportunistic way to scam £30 off me for work that wasnt needed although i do say again, i do hope i ma wrong but how else can you account for the car failing before and passing now, without any work having been done on it?

Totally disappointing. I will never order from this site again. I ordered 2 tyres and the booking for the fitting was confirmed, so I showed up on time expecting a smooth process. However, when I arrived, the reception acknowledged they could see my booking, but the tyres never arrived! Now I have to wait for them to be ordered and book in AGAIN on a different day. What a waste of time! Absolutely unacceptable service. Avoid this site if you value your time.

Would give 0 stars is that was an option. MOT done at National Tyres in Marton Road, Middlesbrough which resulted in a fail (not apportioning blame on NT for that). However subsequently booked in on a separate day for repair, car there the whole day only to receive a call late in the day to say they couldn’t get the part. I suggested keeping the car overnight, but no NT did not want to do that. So car collected, not repaired nothing further from NT by way of solution. Why take the booking without confirming that the part was available? Wasted my time and money. Truly terrible customer service at the branch - very not bothered that a customer had been let down; and subsequently when trying to raise a complaint - heard nothing from National Tyres / Halfords in almost 2 weeks since.

Worse branch I have used, I ordered 4 of the same tyres online days before, then dropped car off to then get a phone call to say 2 of the 4 tyres were not the correct ones delivered. Boy tried to sell me cheaper and worse rating tyres. Honestly this company has went down hill. Rubbish customer service and talks to you like you are nothing.

Booked online appointment for 10am 28th July (Sunday) and received booking confirmation, however on attendance at the Market St, Aberdeen branch it was closed. Your website and the location itself both advertise opening hours of 10am - 4pm on a Sunday and the booking was accepted. Not happy that I travelled to then find the branch closed. There were 5 other disgruntled customers waiting too.

IF YOU ARE A WOMAN AND/OR FOREIGNER AVOID! I was discriminated against in this garage for being woman and from another ethnicity. They provided a quote of £850 which included the same part twice with different names. They retracted their words when I asked for clarification and I called my partner (a British male) for advice. I ended up going to a different garage who charged £200 for the same work. I complained directly to Halfords after this treatment, and I requested that they educate and train their staff about the Equality Act 2010. I have received no response after speaking to the manager of the branch involved. I will be reporting this as a breach of the Equality Act 2010.

I bought two new Avon tyres from here when it was national tyres Halifax, at the time I was offered lifetime guarantee which I bought. The tyres are less than four (-4) years old and have a minimum of 5mm of tread remaining. I recently noticed one of the tyres going down, there was a screw in the centre of the tyre which is repairable, so I visited this place again to have it repaired with my lifetime guarantee. They refused to do the repair because they said they tyres were past their shelf life and had cracks, so I questioned this and said surely the life of the tyre is until it is worn down the the legal limit of 1.6mm? They said no and basically tried to sell me four new tyres at full price, - no discount to the remaining millimetres of tread left, so this so called 'lifetime guarantee' is absolutely pointless to have in my opinion. I was as it happens thinking of changing my rear tyres purely because they're about six years old but still good really, and also to have the wheel alignment checked/done as I've had new suspension components fitted. After this experience though, I'll be going somewhere else from now on, I'll never take my car here again. My reviews are genuine personal experiences to keep their integrity as I've reviewed quite a few different kinds of places. *This tyre has since been confirmed as perfectly fine to be repaired by another qualified technician as the tyre is only showing normal wear and said national tyres were just trying to sell me tyres PHOTO BELOW*

A dreadful company - avoid like the plague! I had my MOT and service booked in here and turned up on the date and time booked, only to be told there that the MOT machine they use wasn't working and they'd tried calling me (I was busy when the unknown number called me that one time... and no voicemail or email was left even though they have all of my details to do so...). So I'd had to arrange with work and childcare in order to drop the car off at the time booked in for and it was a complete waste as the car couldn't get done after all of that. I was then only fitted in days later once the machine had been sorted. The man who served me mentioned an advisory was my rear brake pads needed replacing, but there was still a few months left in them so its fine to leave them until the notice on the car dashboard comes on about them and means I wouldn't be then paying for those too (£155) on top of my MOT, service and other repairs which needed immediately sorting. Fast forward to today when I've now booked in to another of their branches and they've stung me with a £550 repair for the brake pads replacement as now the discs for them also need replacing as they've worn down due to the brakepads wearing through to them so much... which would not have happened had the man originally just telling me its best to get them done there and then to avoid that happening. Absolutely shocking service! On top of this, my partner had his car booked in not long after my MOT/Service, it took 3 days in total for his MOT/Service and repairs to be completed because the man there ordered the wrong part on the first day... took forever ordering the correct part the second day and finally we were able to pick the car up at 6pm!!! on the third day. This is our family car which is so necessary for us getting around with our baby, so imagine 3 days of both of us having to sort childcare and sort both of our work commitments all for an MOT/service that should have taken a day. On the first day of this, my partner had to actually phone the branch at 5pm, because no-one there had made contact with them on the progress... to find out it had failed it's MOT and he was just ordering a part there and then. He said he'd try and squeeze the work in by the end of that day... my partner had phoned at 5:50 as he'd still not heard a thing from them, to find out the part hadn't even arrived (the car had been booked in from the morning so how it's taken until 5ish on the afternoon for him to order a part I don't know). The second day of the car in, he was promised his car was the priority of the day and would be the first on the ramp and it would be done early morning. My partner had to phone at 3pm to check progress and see if it's ready, this is where my partner found out they were trying to order the correct part as the previous day, the man had ordered the wrong one. Again, why it took until 3pm to notice it was the wrong part when apparently his car was first in I don't understand? What were they doing for 7 hours? Again, promised that they'd try get the work completed by the end of the day, but my partner had to keep phoning as no progress updates given, but by 5ish they confirmed they'd have to keep it in overnight because the work they wouldn't have time to do that day. We then had to cancel family plans because we didn't have that family car for our baby. Promised a third time that we'd be first in on the ramp and work would be completed on the morning. At 12pm on that third day, my partner phoned, to be told "we're just about there with it", I received a phonecall mid afternoon to say the car would be ready for pickup 5-6pm. Booking with this company for this work over the last couple of months has been nothing but a headache, so much wasted time and additional money spent! Please take my advice and choose somewhere else more reputable that consider how much inconvenience it is for customers needing to drop off the car and those having to then plan to pick the person up and drop them back off, people have busy lives, don't make them any harder!

Had four new tyres fitted as I was told they had perished (5 year old car low mileage) Cost of £530. Two days later tyre warning came on, back to National in Bearsden, Glasgow. Told me the valve was faulty and and said they had fitted a new one. A week later going out to a rural golf course tyre warning came on again. Had to abandon car in layby as tyre was nearly flat. Husband took it back, staff were exceedingly rude said they were too busy to look at the car but he could bring it back the next day. He then took it to Kwik Fit in Milngavie who informed him the tyre valves were old and cracked and although the tyres had been changed the valves had not hence the reason the tyres were leaking air. Kwik fit changed the valves and gave my husband the old ones, they also photographed the leakage out of the tyres for evidence. No response from National when my husband tried contacting complaints. Will stick to going to Kwik Fit in future and not go near National again.

Ordered 2 tyres to be fitted at home, the Mrs took the day off to wait for the tyre fitter only to get a message at 10.10 saying that they weren't coming and they can't get the tyres that were ordered, trying to replace them with cheaper tyres at the same price. Absolutely shocking service!!

If you book a job in you would expect that they have ordered the part in and turn up to work, or at the very least be courteous enough to call if the part wasn't available, apparentely not if you are the Carlton Road branch. I took the morning off drove the car in, my wife followed in her car to take me back only to be told on arrival that the guy doing the job was on holiday and they couldn't get the part, but didn't have my phone number to tell me, which is untrue because they called my back previously with the quote. They weren't even apologetic for the major inconvience and their incompetance. I have been using this branch for 10 years you have just lost a loyal customer.

I didn't expect them to give me a instant service. However, he could've said come back tomorrow or whenever they have got a space. I never used them before and will not either.

I had an appointment for tyres to be fitted by National Tyres mobile fitters. They failed to turn up, and failed to make contact to explain. Was left stranded.
