“No call no show, even after the original tyres I ordered where out of stock and they tried to charge me the same price for worse tyres. Phoned the following day to see when the person would show to be told it could now be up to 4 days later. Even tho I pick 2 other preferred fitting dates. Poor management misleading help team.”

“I wouldn’t even of awarded 1 star but only way to write a review. So no stars Absolutely awful experience with this company. Ordered 2 tyres online. Selected mobile fitting giving 2 dates incase one wasn’t then available as per there instructions. To then be emailed following day to say they are unable to provide the mobile fitting and don’t know exactly when they will be available next. Did I want refund or book into a local branch for fitting. Tried to phone. , on hold for ages to then be cut off. Next time went to an answer machine Phoned next day and hurray got to speak to someone who then booked me into local fitter. Sorted. Or so I thought to then receive an email to say they have supply problem now for the tyres I paid for so have issued a refund. 😡. Oh and it can take up to 10 days to be credited back to your card. So no tyres and out of pocket for up to 10 days.”

“Local garage quoted £148 for new exhaust on Vauxhall Corsa National Tyres quote £420 why are these companies allowed to trade as it’s surely a scam unbelievable”

“Sent a formal complaint by email to national tyres and Halfords. Never even replied to my email. My order number was 7870030 My family were put at risk by poor workman ship. Will wait till payment as sir try to take there payments and refuse!!”

“WENT AND HAD 2 NEW TYRES FITTED AT AUTOCARE UNIT 2A IPSWICH TRADE CENTRE COMMERCIAL ROAD IPSWICH ON 30TH DECEMBER 2023. BROUGHT TYRES OFF TYRE SHOPPER TO BE FITTED AT AUTOCARE IPSWICH. THE MANAGER WAS NOT HELPFULL AT ALL HE IS THE CRAPIEST MANAGER IVE COME ACROSS FOR A LONG TIME IN A WELL KNOWN GARAGE. HE DIDNT WANT TO FIT THEM HE TRYED EVERY ANGLE TO NOT FIT THEM AND TRY TO GIVE REFUND BACK. I WANTED THE TWO NEW TYRES FITTED TO FRONT OF CAR HE WASNT HAPPY WITH THAT ALSO. ALL FITTED AND PLACED ON CAR WHERE I WANTED THEM GOING. THE MANAGER OF THAT DEPOT HAS STOPPED ME EVER GOING THERE AGAIN. HIS CUSTOMER SKILLS WERE THE WORST IVE EVER SEEN. HE WAS VERY OBSTRUCTIVE AS HE DIDNT WANT TO DO THE WORK. WHY DOES TYRE SHOPPER USE AUTOCARE AT COMMERCIAL ROAD THAT SITE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. WELL IT WILL BE AS NEW HOUSING GOING THERE EVENTUALLY. EXCELLENT NEWS IM HEARING. NO RECIEPT ISSUED EVEN THOU I WAS AT DEPOT. HE IS A RUDE AND LAZY MANAGER. HE DIDNT WANT TO FIT TYRE SHOPPER TYRES. HE WOULD RATHER TYRE SHOPPER LOSE MONEY ON REFUND. SINCE HALFORDS TAKEN GARAGES OVER TERRIBLE SERVICE. WELL THATS HALFORDS FOR YOU.”

“Made an appointment to have 3 new tyres.. turned up on time and they had no idea I was bringing the car in. I didn’t leave my car as they said because they didn’t know I was coming in ? I would have to leave the car all day! Told them to forget it.. they were not in the least bit bothered or interested Now been fitted by another company.. never again will I go to them”

“I took my car in for new tyres on the 15th of September. They failed to reattach my wheel correctly and despite me taking it back multiple times failed to diagnose that as the problem. My wheel was in the process of vibrating off my car. Incredibly dangerous situation. When they eventually admitted the problem I thought the stress was over. Not so. The customer complaints team have been horrendous and deeply stressful to deal with. I've been forced to threaten legal action (not an empty threat, I was in the process of filling in the documents) in order to get funds, which they forced me to incur, returned. I was also left contemplating reporting my car stolen in order to get them to tell me where my car was and what they'd done to it after they stopped responding to my calls, texts or emails. This is still ongoing! I couldn't, in all good conscience, recommend this company to anyone for anything.”

“3.5 hours after the scheduled appointment time they'd yet to make a start on fitting 4 new tyres to my car. No communication or apology and took some time to get my £800 back from them. AVOID”

“WARNING they use agency staff for Mots so don't book thinking they have the staff to do the job. Cancelled my Mot on the morning but didn't tell me untill I got there, asked them to help but they told me to ring around and sort it out myself. Called customer service who didn't answer. Called kwick fit who moved mountains to get me booked in. National Tyres do not care what so ever. Horrible company stay well clear I cannot stress this enough to you.”

“not sure why national tyres is so much expensive compared to kwik fit,sometime back one of national tyre branch done one my tyre but left a bolt loose and it came off and was making noise inside the trim till i took to another branch to find out exactly what happened”

“No Show I booked a mobile tyre replacement for a Sunday 4-8pm fitting. I made a screen shot of the booking, received a confirmation email and checked my credit card was charged £186. They never came. I called but they had no record of the booking. Their brilliant suggestion was to make another booking and pay another £186 and they will look into a refund for the first booking. I will not be using this awful service again.”

“Bought 4 new tyres with mobile fitting as i live 45 min away from their garage and physically don't have time to get there...... after new tyres were fitted, the car started shaking when driving. the wheels need to be rebalanced. I called them back asking for solution. The only solution they give me is to come in to the garage and get it done there. Once again I can't make it that far as I'm working, i would need min 3h. They refused balancing refund so I could do it locally.... I though I have a nice deal on 4 brand new fully fitted tyres but I was wrong.... now I have to pay again for wheel balance...... please avoid.....”

“Booked in brake check as making a grinding noise. I selected 10am slot on Sunday at the Widnes branch, so I turned up at 10 when they opened along with 10 others who has the same slot booked. National called me at 2pm to say car needed £360 worth of work, but which can't be do done until the next day as they dont have parts. The following day they said the LOCKING nut had snapped and I was asked to take the car to a garage who specialises in removing locking nuts and bring it back. I picked the car up and took it to a garage I usually use who agreed to fit me in, glad I did as the work icluuding the brakes cost me two thirds less than what I was quoted my these rip off merchants. Avoid this chain as they will quote you for work that does not need doing.”

“Been trying to get a issue rectified for several months and can't get a reply. They broke my locking wheel nut key and are ignoring me after spending over £800. I've left a review from the date of the incident but they're ignoring that and all other ways I've tried to contact them.”

“Fitted back tyres when they were supposed to fit front tyres and still did the front wheel alignment, although this is doubtful given the way the car drives. Allowed car to be driven away with illegal front tyres. When contacted to complain they told said the front tyres were legal and showed no remorse and no intention to work to address the problem. Have no ability to pay for new front tyres now, nor are they legal to drive. Disgusted.”

“Staff polite and with no issues. My beef is the price I paid for an exhaust. I didn't have time to shop around and paid £535 for a Nissan Note exhaust fitting, not including front section. I later got a quote from a local garage for £125. I have used National tyres once, but that will be the last time, I will make sure i shop around in future. Ps I looked at parts on Euro Parts and feel i have been over charged.”

“Booked through Tyre shopper / national tyres owned by Halfords a Mobile fitter came out to fit two new front tyres and damaged locking wheel nuts and also snapped off tyre pressure sensor and replaced with standard rubber valve with no sensor , car is now telling you sensor undetected every time you start the car and showing a dashboard alarm which is now an MOT failure under new rules and have spent an hour being passed from one number to another saying i have the wrong department to complain , never again !.”
