We had 4 tyres changed on Sat there 04 - 01 - 24 midday was the booking , at no point before we had tyres replaced were we informed that we would need new Air intake Rubber valve stems required to be fitted at the same time . The branch we had the tyres changed was right next door to Evans Hallshaw Ford dealers , so when we were phoned to tell us the car was good to collect the Manager on the the desk told me that we might loose air out the valves , and if they did I was informed I could buy 4 new Valve stems next door in the Evans Hallshaw Ford franchise and take the car back in and they would fit them , I took this as they would be fitted Foc .Yesterday Monday The wife took the car to work and the low Air pressure light illuminated on the dash , and I blew the tyres up when she got home last nite . So I phoned Evans Hallshaw and the had 4 Wheel valve stems there , so I phoned the Autocar branch up and asked them when could we come in and have them fitted , and then he dropped the bombshell it would cost us another £25 a Wheel , and I argued the point which arose from the fact that he told me the guys that change the tyres new about Ford Kugas valve stems leaking , and my arguments are why when the tyres were removed from the car wheels did they not inform us we would be advised to renew them , now they claim this is extra work , it wouldn't have been when the tyres wer been changed anyhow, , absolutely flabbergasted, now we're in the same boat again , having to have our tyres removed again to fit new valves which in my eyes should have been addressed in the first place . So we went on our way with slow punctures , just aswell I have a Compressor and tyre inflater in my garage
