Dear Sir/Madam, I brought my car YG59NKU for MOT test on 29th September to the Poole Branch. My car failed on: Offside Rear Inner Brake pad(s) less than 1.5 mm thick (1.1.13 (a) (ii)); Nearside Headlamp light intensity severely reduced (4.1.4 (a)); Offside Front Coil spring fractured or broken (5.3.1 (b) (i)). I took the car to a different garage for a repair. I have changed rear brake pads and brake caliper, front coil spring and also changed the headlamp (bought a new one in EuroCarParts). I returned on 1st October for a retest and I was charged 27 pounds and again failed, tester told me that the lamp is not brand new and he is not able to adjust the headlamp aim down. So I took my car to a different MOT station and they did not have any problem with adjusting the lamp. I asked Poole branch for a retest and they said it will be a full MOT now. I told them that they were wrong and my headlamp is completely good and they were cheating on me and I want a free retest or a refund of money spent with them but they said “NO”. So I took the car to a different place and it passed MOT without any issues. I paid for MOT tests 35 and 27 pounds to National Tyres and Autocare in Poole and 50 pounds with a different garage.
