I am a 60 year old active man and professional wildlife photographer. I began feeling sharp pain in the back of both my feet and after X-rays and MRIs I who was told by a two podiatrists that I need surgery on both feet. With the three month recovery time (per foot) necessary to heal - and the described 10 out of 10 pain of the surgery I asked if there was anything else I could try before committing to this horrible surgical solution. One of the podiatrists said, “You can try Hoka shoes and put a small heal lift in it.” I tried the Hoka shoes and they did very little to relieve my heel pain while I walked and actually made my feet hurt worse while just sitting at a table at a restaurant.
