Black Betty Swytcheroo Maiden voyage. 17 miles in Oregon’s Mosier Twin Tunnels bike path to Double Mountain Brewery in Hood River. Made it almost back to my friend’s house when the battery finally kicked off. Fortunately I have a lovely husband that rescued me 1 mile from the finish line. I got the larger battery with my kit and will probably purchase a second one. They are light enough to fit in my bike bag so I don’t run out again. The route has many steep hills and I need to learn when to conserve my power. I love the fact that this whole set up didn’t add very much weight to my bike. My friends bikes weigh about 75lbs!! Their batteries lasted longer but, they really need to with bikes of that weight. This set up works very well for me. I did not want to buy another bike. The one I have is perfect for me and being able to convert it is a great advantage. I wish the battery power had more range. And, getting the front wheel on was a beast! But, everything else works great.
