I bought the universal kit for my road bike. Overall it has been a success, and i am very happy with it. I commute from Bingham to Derby (32 miles) and i can just about make it on 1 charge (with the power set to its lowest setting), but i do turn it off when going downhill and sometimes on the flat when im coasting in top gear.
It isn't all positive, my main gripes - a) the wheel didn't fit my road forks, so i had to manually grind down the axles on the wheels and lugged washers (easy to get wrong!). b) The dashboard doesn't fit oversized road handlebars, so i have had to bodge a fitment for it. c) if you puncture it is a right pain to change out on the road as the wheels aren't quick release, there are cables with specific fitment orientations and the wheel axle fit can be a bit tight (due to grinding).
That said, overall it has given me exactly what i want and makes my commute much easier.
