After ordering it I had to wait longer than the time I was told it would take. During that time I received at least 20 marketing emails which had nothing to do with my purchase. I found that very annoying.
The technical support was excellent because I had prompt helpful replies every time I made an enquiry always from the same person.
The main problem was that I had to source different screws for the hub motor because the six dome headed screws were fouling the inside of the front fork.
Eventually I found SS hexagonal headed screws but had to file the heads down to about half their original thickness, also I had to cut them to about half their length.
I also had to file the flats on the axle down from 10mm to 9mm.
Getting the sensor to rotate with a constant gap between it and the sensor was a bit of a faff, but just needed patience.
Once done I had only two short outings totalling about 15miles before I had an accident by fainting while riding it. I was taken to A and E and spent a week in hospital. I've not cycled for 6months on medical advice but in a few days I will be allowed to ride my bike again.
I was delighted with the performance of the Swytch conversion in the short time I had with it.
I was not impressed by the marketing team's constant bombardment by emails of irrelevant sales jargon.
Also, without my level of engineering workshop skills, the kit would not have functioned properly.
