The kit was easy to fit and gives that little assistance I needed on hills. However after a year of use the battery performance is declining, on both the original smaller battery and the larger one I purchased 6 months ago. I hope that the deterioration does not continue to decline as fast as it seems to have done recently. Perhaps warmer weather will help. The pedal assist function is clumsy to turn on and off and dangerous to operate whilst riding. I only need assistance on hills which makes the operation of the assist function rather difficult. Luckily I purchased a hand throttle (illegal) which means I can add as much assist as I want, instantly.
