I had pre-ordered and paid for my Swytch Go kit ages ago with an expected delivery in May/June. In June I got an email to say there was a slight delay and in the end I received my kit on 8th July, exactly 7 months after I received the email confirming my order was complete. That long wait was the price I had to pay to get the Swytch Go at the cheapest possible price. I am not sure that Swytch can continue to operate in that way in the future as there are now other viable options for those who wouldn't be prepared to wait so long. Having received the kit I was disappointed to find that there was no printed instruction manual so I had to go online to get the full instruction manual - I would have much preferred to have a printed booklet in my hand. I knew that the tricky part of assembly would probably be fitting the pedal sensor and so it proved to be, although I did manage to get it done after trying a few different positions for the actual sensor. Once I had completed assembly I checked all was working correctly before tidying up the cables and using hte cable ties to fix everything in place. Initially I didn't have the LED Display attached to my handlebars as the handlebars were too thick for the attachment. I have since got a handlebar extension where the display is now mounted. The cycling experience is great and my average speed as shown by Strava has mysteriously increased! The real benefit is on steeper or longer hills which are now made much easier. I recently did a 40 mile cycle and just before the end of that the battery was exhausted (though i wasn't!). If I was aiming for a longer cycle I might do the first 10 or 20 miles without turning the battery on just so that I would be sure of the battery assistance at the end when I would be tiring. But the kit does make the bike considerably heavier so riding without the e-assistance is harder work than just riding without the kit woud have been. Overall I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend others to consider it as opposed to just buying a complete new e-bike.
