I tried just about everything to lose weight, but I was missing daily attention to what I was eating, clear boundaries around fullness levels, and consistent feedback.
I hoped to be able to live my life without severe restrictions and shakes and pills and bars. My goal was to eat real food that I liked and maintain a healthy weight.
I was skeptical when my son told me about MyBodyTutor, but it turned out to be just what I needed. I lost 20 lbs, which is fantastic, but more importantly, I am confident that I have a workable strategy to maintain that loss.
My original goal was to lose 30 lbs, but when I got to 20 lbs lost, I had already achieved most of my reasons for the weight loss. I was lighter on my feet, going up and downstairs and going on long hikes no longer hurt my knees and ankles, and my sleep apnea was gone. With my reasons to lose weight realized, so much of my compelling "why" was gone. So now, my goal is to maintain the weight loss for a year and then take a look and see if I want to go further.
If you're thinking about joining, I believe you can do it if you follow the plan and really begin to observe your patterns and create new ones. Easy to say, I know, but with MyBodyTutor's support and their simple and creative ideas around food and eating, it was easier than I thought it would be. The MyBodyTutor folks are super supportive, no guilt, no shame AT ALL. Pure, clear support and care was my experience. Good luck!
