I purchased a ln item online with velocity points on black friday and had confirmation of purchase soon after. 30 mins later an email informed me it was out of stock and myer credits will be issued to me! I didn't want the credits i wanted my original transaction refunded. After around 3 months multiple phone calls and emails and calling fair trading NSW they finally agreed it was the wrong thing to do and got refunded. So much time spent on hold and stating my story for false advertising. I wonder how many people get stung with this business model. Refunding in myer credit when they advertise an item in stock online. Be careful what you buy!
