We are in our 60’s, and are financially sound. Found a place for an appropriate 2 month stay in Valencia, Spain on HomeLike. The calendar confirmed my dates. Sent in the request. Later on Google, I found an enormous amount of bad reviews on HomeLike about poor landlords, landlords stealing security deposits, HomeLike reps disappearing after taking in a tenant’s money, etc. I emailed my concern and asked if they could give my any reviews on the landlord or the apartment. No reply. HomeLike simply emailed me that the apartment was now no longer available for my time slot. Feels very, very shady.
