Giant ARX bike ordered for my 11 y/o son for Xmas. The bike arrived completely disassembled with parts individually wrapped. Handlebar arrived with scrape mark. No assembly instructions.
Giant advised that Winstanley should be building/checking the bike prior to dispatch, but based on the condition received I don't think that this was done.
After a month and a half the right pedal fell off the crank. Winstanley advised the crank wasn't covered by warranty and they could not provide a replacement, leaving us with a bike my son could not use.
I raised a Paypal claim - Winstanley responded by messaging me outside of PayPal telling me they had done nothing wrong and why have I raised a claim.
Contacted Giant Bristol directly. They were fantastic and managed to source a replacement crank for me, which they fitted free of charge. Giant told me they had no record of any conversation with Winstanley regarding my son's bike.
My advice would be to spend the little extra and purchase either from a local bike shop, or one with a better reputation.
