Ordered a bicycle for my daughters birthday. They took payment, stated it would be delivered within a week and then emailed to confirm the order a day later. 2 days later received an email confirming it was out of stock and would be 3 months. It's 2024, you should not be taking payment for stock you don't have. Probably have to wait a week for my refund now too! Avoid

Bought a bike and it arrived sure enough, bit had two right pedals so I couldn't use it. After trying to contact them - they don't answer the phone - I just bought some new pedals and decided never to use them again.

First I ordered a bike that was in stock and ready to dispatch then to get a email confirming the bike on a back order fr cube and they don't know when it will come in I left for 4 to 5 day still winstaley didn't know where the bike was said there was 200 bike on the same order but have no tracking pulled a red flag for me waited another 2 days and they said that they have the smaller size frame in I was fed up of waiting so just took it once delivered I set the bike up first road ride was OK the gears were crunching and slipping got home and noticed that the bike derailer was holding no tension anymore and I was getting chain slap I called the company up who said they would speak to there technician and call me back 5 days later I am still waiting for a replie when on another ride to see it it could sort its self out derailer ended up in the cassette and snapped of hanger the bike was not fit for purpose so got it fixed and got rid of it lost alot of money in the process Moral of this story is don't waste your money with them they hardly answer your calls they hardly email back and the bikes in my eye are clearly not looked over before shipping I definitely will never shop here again or recommend anyone else to as u will be disappointed

Bought a bike on 17th November and was told a few days later they had to order it in/it should arrive by 27th November. Then I was told the end of this week. I've tried e-mailing and calling to gain an update but no-one is responding/the phone number just keeps you in a loop with hold music, then ringing, then back to hold music. Based on recent reviews I'm starting to worry if this place is a scam. Please get in touch to resolve this matter.

just now NEW Firstly I purchased a bike which stated was in stock ready to dispatch, this turns out it was not the case after waiting 4 days to receive a confirmation or any information I decided to call the store after spending a good 2hrs trying to get through I gave up, I then sent an email and even this took 7 days for a response (in between these 7 days I tried to cal” numerous times each day and again could never get through ) once I finally got a response via email to say the bike wasn’t in stock and awaiting on a delivery from supplier. 15 days later the order arrived. Upon opening the box everything seemed fine other than the fact the bike does not come with any pedals! Pink slip stating bike has been inspected and built and is safe to use .. so off I went and within 1hr of riding on a downhill mountain trail the back brake cable pops out leaking fluid all over the place luckily I managed to come to a stop without any harm, took the bike to the local bike hub who inspected the bike to say it was very poorly put together and should never have left the warehouse and cost me £100 to have it rectified and continue with my ride ! Tried to contact winstanley by phone and of course yet again no answer after numerous attempts and 2-3 hours trying. After sending an email which took several days to respond to state no pedals in box and the issues I had , I get offered a free set of pedals for my inconvenience or the money back it cost to get the bike fixed, after accepting the money back they tell me I have to call them to process the refund. All in all 2 weeks later I’m still waiting for my refund .

Bought a cube bike from this company came 4 weeks late Waited patiently no complaints My wife rode it twice peddle fell of. Guess what not covered under warranty But to add insult to injury I was shocked to be told i must of put the peddle on wrong my fault like I've never put a peddle on a push bike in my life, very insulting. Then I was told to take it to a local bike shop to be fixed a bike that's 2 weeks old ya right! If you want to buy a new bike do yourself a favour do not buy from these jokers

Great product and price but let down by delivery company Dpd and poor customer service thereafter. If I was closer I would visit the site to demand compensation Think twice !!!

Horrendous experience, purchased a seatpost from them but was sent the wrong size post in the right size box sothat doesn't look good. Instead of the hassle of returning it I emailed customer services to suggest if they sent me a shim which they state is in stock I would keep the post. 4 days later the replied saying yes that's good idea. I had an order for shim free of charge but next day emailed saying not in stock and they would let me know when it will be arriving. Week later nothing so emailed to ask when I'll be receiving it and they replied they haven't got it yet. I bet they didn't even order it. I've now had to email saying not to bother as I can't wait any longer and had to purchase a shim elsewhere. No now I'm out of pocket. I will never use thus company again or recommend to anybody to. Order from tredz or wiggle, they send you the correct item quickly unlike Winstanley cycles.

Never buy anything from this company. I bought a bike on this website, they sent me the wrong bike when I wrote about it they told me that the bike which I bought is now sold out. So I wanted to return this bike but there is a problem with their courier. I told them that I will be at home after 3 pm. and please arrange to pick up then... SO their courier was at 1 pm for the bike when I was at work. So they sent me the wrong bike and if I want to return it I need to take a free day from work because of them. This company is a joke! Customer service and company are really bad. I am very disappointed.

Giant ARX bike ordered for my 11 y/o son for Xmas. The bike arrived completely disassembled with parts individually wrapped. Handlebar arrived with scrape mark. No assembly instructions. Giant advised that Winstanley should be building/checking the bike prior to dispatch, but based on the condition received I don't think that this was done. After a month and a half the right pedal fell off the crank. Winstanley advised the crank wasn't covered by warranty and they could not provide a replacement, leaving us with a bike my son could not use. I raised a Paypal claim - Winstanley responded by messaging me outside of PayPal telling me they had done nothing wrong and why have I raised a claim. Contacted Giant Bristol directly. They were fantastic and managed to source a replacement crank for me, which they fitted free of charge. Giant told me they had no record of any conversation with Winstanley regarding my son's bike. My advice would be to spend the little extra and purchase either from a local bike shop, or one with a better reputation.

I've ordered a expensive 600 pounds axs dropper post , I thought I would ring them to find out how long it would take to get to me , after the phone was left ringing for a long time I got through and were very helpful, so I thought . Yes sir we will find out and ring you back , this didn't happen so I rang again ,different person on the phone again lovely to talk to and again said they would ring me back ,I'm still waiting the following day and still no news on my dropper . Poor service guys 🙄

I ordered 2 Kali cycle helmets but only received 1 helmet- and this was a different make. So far, I have been unable to contact the company, despite sending 2 emails and attempting to call them on 3 occasions.

Update from previous one star review. 27/01/2023. Well, since I have left this review they have been nothing but perfect. Refunded my payment, I re ordered and it was sent the next day. Having issues being so busy and short staffed apparently. I run my own business and everyone deserves a second chance. 5 Stars from me.

Ordered a pair of waterproof socks. But as was getting charged £3.99 delivery so I purchased another item which was the same price as my local supplier. Got an notification to say Amazon was delivering Item. ??? I ordered on there website. Amazon then Attempted to deliver the Socks 3 Times apprantly and on the last attempt, it was refused by customer. This was not possible as it going to a work address thats open 24/7. Contacted support to be told looks like out address was wrong, but turns out it wasnt. Then was told parcel was lost and never had tried to be delivered. So how did they try and deliver 3 times ?? something strange here and another review says something simliar. Yes got refund for socks back but no delivey money. Even asked for good will gesture and 1/2 delivery price and got told no !! I sure they will claim it back ! I have spent a few quid at this place before. But never again. Yes I have another item still to come, lets see if this one arrives, but its now cost me £4 more for the item i could got from my local store.

Ordered bike bag, Not delivered. Sent email instant reply to say sorry. Then nothing, sent a further 3 emails, no reply. Avoid at all costs, use the other bike companies. Hopefully I'll get my refund as I ordered through PayPal.

So annoyed ordered a bike in advance for Christmas (October) was told it would be dispatched 5-7 days, but after numerous phone calls an emails changing the date of delivery over 8 weeks an still no bike with no date of delivery! Order came but my bike wasn’t on it! I rang on many occasions an no answer! Still states on website 5-7days (lie) They gave me a full refund but now with 3 weeks till Christmas I’m having to now look for another bike else where which isn’t going to be an easy task! Feeling very let down.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Awful!! I ordered a pair of bike gloves before December 2021 and they still haven’t arrived now in April 2022. They kept emailing me saying they will arrive by X date and they never did.

Having decided on a pair of Exposure Trace cycle lights I found the best price on Winstanley's site so duly ordered a set along with an under saddle mount for the rear. These items were ordered at 1.30pm and contact about my order and information from Winstanley's was very swift along with the order being delivered at 10.30am the next day. An absolute 100% 5 star experience and would thoroughly recommend Winstanley's Bikes Many Thx.
