I was miss-sold their product. Their local Warrington agent, Alex Beswick, did not explain their pay later plan. I asked if their contract was the same as traditional estate agents - no sale no fee, he replied “yes”.
He sent me a contract by E-mail which I could not open. He instructed me to “just sign it”.
After 6 weeks and 4 views I contacted him and cancelled the contract.
Eight months later I received a bill for £1,399.
I contacted the property Ombudsman and received a decision 12 months later, due to a huge backlog of cases.
They replied I would have to pay as their contract, which I could not open, stated if property not sold within 8 months I would have to pay a fee of £1,399.
So if looking to sell your property, stick to a traditional street estate agent with the no sale no fee agreement.
