BEAWARE. FRAUDSTERS they dont give you deposit back thank god i told them to take from my account instead of transfer which they begged me to do but id rather be protected by debit transaction i got my money from bank in end but these guys are pure scums. Ruined my xmas waited 3 months for my deposit nothing. Fraudsters

Shocking poor company! Only had the job done 10th of december 2021, they wont come back, my house is cold drafty, and my heat going out the windows. They wont come back 4 times ive arranged with this company and given them chance, they ignore you. Im devastated, the pvc hanging off over my bedroom windows debri falling inside my windows., letter box wrong should be chrome and very very crooked. No ends on my pvc window cills my gas elec cupboard all plaster and cement fallen off inside freezing now in my hallway, the window not measured right gap!! And front door leaking in on the rim. Sealent not sealed properly on all. They wont give me a fensa certificate or warrenty which you need when selling, i now have to take this company to court, the lad had only done the job 4yrs, i asked for a tradesman they sent me two, that has made my house unsellable. See you in court! Markus!! You lie! Up to the hr in telling me they are on there way to rectify all shoddy work, noone comes back, and after 4 arrangements, even with you. My patience has run thin, youve fobbed me off left right and centre! See you in court for the work and damages. Miss P walkden

They also promised to fixed the unfinished jobs .we call them millions times but nobody answered.I think it’s better to post this in Facebook so that people be aware for what they are doing.

Mark markus.. Well you let me down, have you not heard of consumer act 2015? I trusted you. You didnt turn up to rectify the problems, my aim now is to get it sorted... Not good! Lack of customer care.

worked started on my house 1st week September here I am now almost 6 months later with a unfinished house . After 100s if phone calls made by me to be given over 10 dates for their fiirers to come and finishes my house and on not one of them dates has anyone turned up .please don't pay cash which they insist has you will not see them.for dust if you have any issues . unfortunately nor for me I will be taking legal advice and will be proceeding to small claims court has the small amount this will cost is nothing compared to what I paid for a unfinished house .Take your money to a company that has a once of compassion about their customers because these don't give a toss

0 stars is appropriate but sadly not an option, so 1 star it is. Strap in for War & Peace, it’s a long one. Top tip, pay at least £100 on credit card or use finance. Do not give these people cash because you will never get issues resolved without court proceedings. Even then, you probably wouldn’t get anything back. Started with a cold call at the end of March 2021. Salesman rocked up on 2nd April and did a quote. Install arranged for 6 weeks later. This was delayed a further 2 weeks due to fitter not being available, then again because someone ‘broke panes’ and a 3rd time due to badly welded frames being remade. When they did show up on 4th June, it was 1 fitter sent to install 9 windows and a front door, which would apparently be done in a day. This took him 3 days and the job was not completed. The welds and finish were horrendous, windows weren’t sealed causing water ingress and the front door wasn’t fitted properly, letting water in and was also a security risk as it didn’t latch on the keeps. The only issue eventually rectified temporarily was the front door latching properly so it was more secure. I also had to get a new lock fitted after the fitter kept a key to the front door. They also do not work to building and FENSA regulations, informing me that the side of my house could be supported by a PVC window without a lintel and that lintels are not a requirement above windows. I’ve confirmed with reputable firms that this in indeed incorrect and they should not be trading if they don’t understand basic regs. Exact quote from Mark Leese: ‘re structural changes unless there were issues before the fitting of the windows our engineers are confident that the replacement of windows and completion of brickworks will resolve any bowing etc.’ They did eventually agree to foot the bill ‘as a gesture of goodwill’ and install this after I raised the dispute with the finance company about negligence on their part as the need for lintels should have been picked up by 1st Glass from the initial survey. We asked the surveyor (who also fitted the windows) more than 3 times whether lintels were needed. He said no despite having 20+ years of ‘experience’ in the industry. We were told by the salesman you do not pay until you’re happy with the product. This is a lie. We were threatened into signing the satisfaction form to release the finance even though the job was not finished. It’s a shame you can’t share pictures here because I have well over 100. Nobody in their right mind would sign unless forced to. I contacted the fitter for 4 weeks to come back but no response. I then contacted 1st Glass and spoke to Debbie, who said they would send someone. 4 weeks later, nobody arrived. This was rescheduled and yet again, no show. I then involved the finance company (Shawbrook Bank) in August 2021 and the only way I’m reaching a resolution is after contacting the bank’s CEO who are instructing someone else to do the work that 1st Glass clearly cannot. 1st Glass were due to return yesterday to finish off the job 6 months later. The fitter who did the original bodge job was sent. I had been told by every fitter and surveyor sent by 1st Glass after the install in June, that this fitter had been sacked and was being sued by the company due to issues with so many jobs he had done, costing them a fortune. This was either a lie told by all the fitters or they’re very forgiving. I was given abuse by Ryan on the phone yesterday after asking why this fitter had been sent. He stated that all issues were my fault as I had rushed the job (I left the fitter on my property to crack on over the course of 3 days, uninterrupted in June. I was told the job should have taken a team of 2 men 1 day to complete). A team showed up for 3.5 hours on 17th December, managing to change 3 windows out of 9 and were due to return 18th December but didn’t. Apparently someone was sick but didn’t bother to tell me. I didn’t realise giving someone 3 days to complete a job and then an additional 6 months to rectify it was rushing someone but apparently, they’re the tight timescales 1st Glass cannot work to. Mark Leese (financial director) promises the Earth but cannot deliver. Marcus, the owner, does the same. Nothing but lies come from their mouths and they will twist everything to make it your fault. To top it off, every single fitter who has visited the property after the first install has said they would never have paid for the windows because the quality is that horrendous and would have told the fitter to leave. Shows what the company is like if their own staff haven’t got a good word to say about the quality and their colleagues.

I had replacement glass fitted in my conservatory in February since then I have been waiting to obtain the FENSA or CERTASS certificate. I contacted the company over 2 weeks ago but still no certificate. I am just about to loose the sale of my property because this company do not provide proper paper work. When you telephone the company no one ever responds even their complaints number is never answered.

Placed order back in may but the surveyor didn’t turn up with no explanation but got told by one of the sales guys that he didn’t turn in work and was in bed all day They got another surveyor who turned up 2 hours late no explanation again it was 7pm my daughter was in but he was banging on the doors for half an hour and she got scared told them I wanted to cancel after numerous calls regarding my refund of £400 deposit 6 months waiting now and still no money this is totally unacceptable

Despite a few good reviews on google etc , i went ahead with a £ 200 deposit for 3 windows . After money been taken , DO NOT expect any service from them . Rude on the phone and talk over you . Still waiting for my deposit to be refunded despite emaling their so-called customer care email ( no reply ) Will bring this matter to small claim court .

Never really written a review but the experience from this company has been shocking. Please listen to the reviews of the people on here because they are genuine. Placed the order around 4 months ago and went with these guys as they said that they would deliver the door in 7 weeks no problems. I was adamant on this as I needed to move into the property and leave mine. Day of installation and I get a voicemail saying they cannot come as there has been a issue. From then on the excises began. The door opening was the wrong way, havent received the profile etc. This went on for months and not once did they have the courtesy to call me and just kept saying next week we will have the delivery. But every week I had to chase them. Asked for my money back and was disgusted as I would now have to wait for another company to make the door probably another 8 weeks. Explained I am paying two mortgages and its getting very hard to live but they didnt care and said just give it another week we are promised the deivery. I eventually it came and Mark the apparent manager said it will be fitted on 11th october (5 weeks later!) i said if its here surely it should be expedited and they said they will try. Now I have had a call today and when I called back I got told please wait Mark will call you back and Mark himself said he will call back in 5 minutes. Never happend. Finally after speaking to someone in sales I found out the call was about another delay with no date! Fuming I said If there is a delay again I want compensation for the temporary door I have had put in. They point blank refused and said we will give you the money bank. Despite the rudeness, unprofessionalism and the blatant lies I now have to wait for another company to fit a door 5 months on from my order. Please avoid this company much better companies out there and better proced with more choice. Not worth the lack of professionalism.

This place is an absolute joke. Unless you want ENDLESS problems that they show no interest in resolving, go elsewhere. Firstly, the salesperson that came to my house to quote gave us a price for the wrong windows. The windows were fit and they were the wrong ones. I rang to let them know and I was argued with about price and timing etc. About 6 phone calls later, they finally decided that they would honour the sale and change the windows and doors to what we were expecting to have. Once they’d fit the right windows and doors, we realised a few issues. They reattached our alarm sensors with black gaffa tape, the back door didn’t lock properly without brute force and one of the windows had measurement stickers on the inside of the glass. This led to yet more days of calling, arranging call backs, not being called back etc until it was eventually rectified. We also had our porch renovated with new windows, cladding and roof. Including boarding and plastering the interior. The plastering had to be redone because they boarded and plastered on top of what was already there, leaving a horrible inch of plaster board around the doors, they also plastered over a light switch. Even after the second time, it cracked, streaks everywhere and just a general poor job. Now, the cladding on the porch is peeling off and bowing, the gutter has detached and water goes everywhere and the roof slats have lifted and moved (still to be rectified). On top of all of this, now the front door doesn’t lock unless forced and one of the windows have cracked all the way up and the living room window if very flimsy, you can move it easily with your hand (also, still to be rectified). I get told I’ll be called back all the time and no one ever does. I have to call and call and call for ANYTHING to be done. They really just do not care. Please save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere, it’s really not worth it.

Advice for customers (like myself) - If you have an issues with this company and are finding it difficult to resolve them, seek the finance company. Their complaints system deal with the complaints seriously.

Workmen were great. It's the follow up service which is atrocious had a door fitted panel is bent with loads of marks on it. Then recently had a bay window fitted while fitter was here large panel cracked .they keep saying it's the door panel holding up repairs. This is my 91yr mother's house she doesn't need all this stress. Now they say there busy till sept 16th.

Had bi fold doors, windows and a door fitted, the bi fold was wrong, the door will not close properly, and I have sill caps missing, 10 months later I am still waiting for them to fix the faults, they have not turned up for three appointments, and never return calls, terrible customer service.
