Well what can I say After two phone calls From James promising to give me my money back. Seventeen days later Just been on the Reviews The there is a section at the back with Bad reviews.I'm glad i'm not The only one Not happy with this company Absolutely Dreadful. Service 😡😡😡😡

Doors in less than a week and we’ve had a major issue for half of that. Door will not unlock so is jammed shut. I’ll reconsider this review when it’s fixed.

Bought a front door 3 years ago and recently the door would not lock. We were given 15 year guarantee but after calling 5 times this week and leaving numerous messages we never received a call back. Due to my wife & daughter not sleeping due to being anxious about not being able to lock the front door we ended paying a locksmith to come out & still no return call from 1st Glass. The door constantly drops due to not been fitted properly so hinges are adjusted to their max causing the door to constantly stick. Avoid at all cost as after service is non existent!

Absolute terrible company! Still waiting for repairs that they promised to do! Terrible workmanship & the management are vile!! Been waiting for repairs to my bay window which they have put in leaks all over, kitchen window not lined up correctly this as been ongoing since September 2021... Now in the hands of trading standards absolute joke is this company keep well away from them...proper rogue traders.

There are patio door collects water at the bottom, creaks, and the hinges don't open properly. The brick works weren't matched to the existing bricks as agreed. The company did not come to check or provide a solution for these problems.

Would have given 0 stars if an option. Avoid like the plague! 1st Glass UK are incompetent cowboys who will not turn up when expected and if and when they do will then do a very poor job. They also lie and/or completely ignore you. We are now 1 year into a complaint which was only acknowledged once we involved the finance company. They are also reluctant to provide FENSA certificates. We had to pay for an independent company (RISA) to inspect our windows and doors and provide a report at a cost of £480. Numerous very basic but catastrophic installation faults found (no drianage points, huge gaps, windows not sealed at all, doors letting in horrendous drafts) and windows and doors not compliant with FENSA Regs. This company do not care and are completely incompetent. Be warned and take your business elsewhere.

Had 3 windows fitted 1 front door and a set of patio doors to rear. main window letting noise and cold through side opener, patio door hinge coming off frame and again letting noise and cold through. Front door you have to push it into frame to be able to pull handle up. Only fitted in August 22 Dec 17 didn't come for appointment to fix. COWBOYS

Negligent, had 1st glass back all year since last Dec, my last job my door blown twice! Only had the dam job done last Dec2021. My door wouldn't lock, I told then, came out a few days later left my door they did unlocked , my mums keys gone her house robbed if all her jewellry and other stuff gone , even in my house, police informed, not good! Had some issues at the beguining which I did bring to Marks attention , since similar has happend to someone in Bkackburn I'm told by a camera man that came to my house, same company, I've had to put many things on alert, after what's been taken at mine and my mums, her keys were taken off my kitchen table , they knew my door was open, as it wouldn't lock. So yes we got burgled.Its been a traumatising time, my mum doesn't know her jewellry has gone, it would kill her if I had to tell her, quite a few thousand gone, but memories you can't replace! . I cannot say to much , but I wish to god! I'd not had this company, they've caused our family so much trauma. My advice stay clear! Some workers are ok at 1st glass, but some aren't!!! as some there work us shoddy and not to ve trusted as like I said I pointed out to Mark from word go, but then I didn't make a scene of it. My door was left unlocked! Thus company doesn't care! , I realy tried with them, but they can't see what goes on behind the scenes, and they should of come back the same day to sort my door as it was left unlocked, and they knew, to come, and there handyman they send out when things go wrong knew as well.

We wish that we had read all the reviews before we trusted you. We have told you twice about a problem and have been promised a follow up phone call to rectify it. This has not happened. Is it a communication problem or do you just not care?

It has turned out, that i cannot get this company to come back and complete the work at my house, ive been very patient with this company, and they kept saying they are coming back last day today! Let me down again! Ive took time off work, so they could come back, 5 times they have let me down on the day, this is in a space of 3 months, before that 10 times from when they did the job 10th December last year! Promise after promise sorry after sorry,taking advantage of my good nature, im worn down with this company, mark the manager i thought i could trust, but lies after lies. I cannot get a fensa certificate, because they wont come back to complete the work so they wont issue me one, i cannot sell my house without a fensa certificate, i have no choice but to take it further, theyve had chance after chance, the manager lets his work staff lie for him, in saying they are coming back, noone turns up, its so draining, this company has led me a merry dance. Doesnt matter how nice you are, as they work that to there advanatage.Today is the last day of being let down, my good natute and patience has run out! Marcus! Ive been given no option but to take it further, i wish i hadnt of gone with this company 1st glass uk.. You make peoples lives a missery,.... Best advice i can give anyone reading this stay clear! & read the other reviews of this company first.. Im 50 miles away, so they dont want to come back, so now i have chase this up 😔 im not a nasty person but they realy have taken advantage of my good nature, and think its a joke..

Last year, we had the surveyor come, we choose the door, agreed all the details etc and then agreed the price. I signed the contract and paid the deposit - £150. It took a long time until I got a date for the door to be fitted, after a long wait and calling them chasing a date, I was finally given the date. To then be told a few dates before the door was due to be fitted, they called and told me the surveyor had quoted the wrong price and I would need to pay more money. I explained I felt this was their error, I declined to pay this increased price as it had been a matter of months since we made the agreement and the finance had just been approved, I felt this was their error and they should of honoured the agreement. Afternoon multiple attempts to try and get a refund for my deposit, the staff was not helpful or understanding in any way. I would definitely not recommend this company.

Absolutely Avoid These Cowboys.. Dispicable Management Team! Very Very bad company. Do not keep to their promises. We told one of their workforce that we would never recommend their company to anyone...Their answer was " it doesn't matter because we wouldn't need you to as we have plenty of work!" Everything they did or promised to comeback & do never happened! If you want to loose your money then go ahead & use them....Appalling Company 😡

AVOID!!! Paid a deposit for a new front door, sales men pleasant but extremely pushy. Looked into the company and decided to cancel within the 14 day cancellation period. Emailed with form was acknowledged, followed up over the phone and told it would take a month to receive refund. As others have noted only line you can get through to is sales who can be rude when they realise it is not a sale call. Month came and went and no refund. Called on multiple occasions, told it would be paid by end of week for a number of weeks. Received advice from citizens advice bureau to write up the complaint and request for refund. This has been ignored. Nearly 3 months later and still the same thing. I am currently trying to see if bank can help. Exhausted and angry, very glad I cancelled and did not pay any further money up front, stories from the other reviews sound awful and so sorry to learn of the breadth and depth of this companies scams.

Don’t do it people. This company didn’t even seal out door and the extensive rain damage not only trashed our floor but also damaged the freshly painted room next to the door. We have provided 2 quotes for a new flooring and they refuse to pay up after a taking responsibility for the damage. They are so rude (real Jack the lad attitudes) and the door even came damaged and without the accessories paid for….. they said they had ordered a new door but never did. give them a wide birth. They are crooks. I mean what double glazed doesn’t seal a door frame? We have picture evidence and emails of everything. There are so many better companies that aren’t asking the earth. Their words ‘we will see you in court and we will go all the way in court before we give you a penny more than £100’ they have been really bad from day one and now we all have a long drawn out process of getting back what we have lost.

No option for zero stars- if your wanting a smooth easy transaction I would maybe think twice about going with 1st Glass UK. All good initially, came out the next day after enquiring, quite pushy but agreed door was what i wanted and was 6 weeks wait. I had to contact them after 6 weeks very hard to contact no answer through email and phone rings out. Eventually told a problem would I consider different door said no so was told to wait longer and install was booked. On day of install no sign so rang and spoke to Mark he said there was problems and no door today. At this point and doing more research and seeing bad reviews demanded cancellation on their part for not producing goods Mark agreed and full refund would be with 21 working days. Thinking the stress was over I was then told as they're a small company they would have to refund bit by bit. Well 4 months later constant calls and emails (72 calls in total) finally get a refund. They do not care about customer care. They quote that they're "open, honest and explain decisions" "answer telephone calls courteously, promptly and professionally" "provide best customer experience" "treat you fairly and with respect" "respond to emails within 2 working days" "apologise if things go wrong and use their best efforts to put it right" all these customer promises are rubbish and I'm still awaiting a response from all my email complaints. I could only ever get through to the sales team any other options on their number wouldn't answer. Strange to say they would answer if you selected you wanted the sales team hey? Its been very stressful, they delayed me thinking I would get my chosen product then cause me a lot of stress and hassle when finally agreed to refund me. I have since gone to another firm had my door made and fitted with absolutely zero problems and 100% happy with it this all happened still before I got my refund in full. Happy just to end this experience but a warning to anyone else considering it might not be plane sailing. Do your research pay any deposit with credit card not balance transfer.

Poor Customer service. We were given a quote for new windows and a door last year May 2021. We were told we will have new windows by mid July 2021. We received a call mid July to say there has been a problem we will have to wait till August . August arrived and we were informed we will have our windows by October. Everytime we called to query our order we were told a few months a few months. February 2022 now. When we called, we were told we quoted you too cheap and it is not worth our while. I wish they'd told us that earlier back in July because we had received quotes from other companies which we then turned away; we had lost the opportunity to take our business elsewhere. A disloyal, deceiving and poorly established company. We are waiting for our refund as we have no choice but to officially cancel our order. Take my advice and take your business elsewhere as these people are con artists.
