Bought a car a few weeks ago from a Owen. Had a few problems with car, the problems was initially sorted. But the customer service on the other hand are shocking. They don’t ring you back the young girl is very rude and thinks she knows it all. The car had to be m.o.t 30 miles away which seems a bit strange to me. As for the log book the lady said it will be sent off but, few weeks later it’s apparently sat with there accountant. Why would it need to be with them for it should be sent off ASAP. Phoned dvla and they have no record of the log book what so ever. I would avoid this place as much as you could. I wish I would have read the reviews before buying from this place. They need a course in how to treat there’re paying customers. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!!

We take every review seriously, but this one is blatantly dishonest and misleading, and it's important to set the record straight. First of all, the claim that our customer service is lacking is completely unfounded. We have kept you updated throughout the entire process, including on the logbook, which, as we clearly explained to you multiple times, takes 4-6 weeks to process, as advised by the DVLA – a timeline we don’t control. You were fully informed of this, and we have recorded phone conversations that prove we’ve been transparent and communicative at all times. To say we haven’t called you back is simply false. Regarding the car itself, let’s clarify that you initially looked at two cars and changed your mind. We respected your choice without any issue and fully supported you in selecting the second car. You also confirmed via email that you were happy with the vehicle after the repairs were completed. As for your accusation of rudeness, it's particularly disappointing. The young woman you're referring to is a professional who treats all customers with respect, even in difficult situations. It’s unfortunate that you feel the need to single her out when she’s done nothing but her job, consistently keeping you updated on the situation. Finally, we must address your comment about the MOT being 30 miles away. We use trusted third-party MOT stations to ensure vehicles are safe and up to standard, and there’s nothing “strange” about it. The location of the MOT station has no bearing on the quality or validity of the service. We’ve done everything possible to provide excellent service, and your review is misleading and unfair. We urge anyone reading this to consider the facts: you were fully informed at every stage, and we went above and beyond to accommodate your changing requests. In short, we’ve been nothing but professional and transparent, and this review does not reflect the truth.

This company should be closed down bunch of con artist . There cars are full of problems and unsafe to drive I have now returned my car and there now saying car is damaged when it wasn't when sent back CON CON CON ARTIST!!!!!!

Promised me a radio keep telling me they'll get it basically palming me off plus an horrid noise from back wheels and again said they'd do but avoiding me, avoid this place at all cost lovely people..

As for the noise from the wheels, we’ve offered to address it multiple times, but you’ve yet to bring the vehicle in for service. Do Not Buy from this company, car was full of problems not fit for purpose. Company have them tried to claim nothing was wrong with vehicle despite having corrected the faults once they received it back. Very poor service. Looks like FAKE reviews are added to feed weekly to push all genuine bad reviews.

Thank you for your feedback, but we strongly disagree with your claims. The vehicle was thoroughly inspected and found to be in proper working condition at the time of purchase. When it was returned to us, we addressed any concerns as part of our commitment to customer satisfaction. Stay away from this garage sold is a car that is not suitable for use first the windscreen is loose now the brakes have gone so cannot use the car I now have to start a legal case to get our money back as the garage don't want to help we live 2 hours away from the garage and spent 4800 pounds on the car I also had to have a tyre put on because the tyre was under the legel limit so please don't get caught out STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARAGEwe have to take our elderly parents to hospital appointments and need the car for work so have to use public transport LEAVE THIS PLACE ALONE NOT GOID COMPANY

Do not buy a car from this garage that have sold us a car where its broken down after two days the windscreen is loose and now the brakes have gone so please stay away from this garage I now have to fight to get our money back there is no after sales care at all we leave 2 hours away from the garage and they keep saying bring the car back to us Monday to Friday but we work Monday to Saturday please spend your money else where this garage rip people off and don't care about customer service or after sales

Awful Dealer. AVOID. Purchased a Vauxhall Antara 4x4 at the end of Sept23. Test drove the vehicle, all good except from a whining noise from below. The dealer said its probably a wheel bearing, they'll sort and get back to me, which they did. I drove the vehicle and it sounded fine so deal done. Took the vehicle for its MOT in Jan24, it passed but with the stand out advisory, the propshaft has been removed! Shocked to say the least as I thought I was purchasing a 4x4. I got straight onto AOwen as advised by the MOT examiner and they said I had to contact their "Customer Care" team. They denied all knowledge, implying I was lying. They finally accepted there was an issue when told Trading Standards will be contacted. The car was checked by an AOwen mechanic, (who unplugged my dash cam for some reason). They said they would get the parts needed and get back to me. They didn't. I emailed their "Customer Care" team again and was told to contact the mechanic, no other details given. Great "Customer Care". The Antara will be sold. All details of this transaction, emails from AOwen, original vehicle description upon sale, original vehicle spec from Vauxhall have been given to Trading Standards. Its in their hands now. Avoid AOwen if you need a used car at all costs.

Zero if I could. DO NOT BUY their cars. 45 minsures and 6 grand later I had broken down. Took it to a garage I trusted to be told: they had jump started the battery to get it going and the battery is too weak to run properly and is no longer taking charge from engine needed a whole new one but at least they unlike A. Owen wired it up properly. Tyre has puncture there is an oil leak. The front sensor isn't working which set of the automatic braking system as I was driving down the A34. The MOT they performed "missed" 3 other advisories and they did the bare minimum they could on the service to allow it to run for the test drive. Rang to ask them to take car back and was told they held no responsnilitt for the car. Informed them I would be going to trading standards and was told "do what you want I don't give a shit". If you buy from here do not get there warranty it means bugger all to them and take it straigh to a garage you trust so they can do the actual work needed to allow your new car to run safely.

Worst ever... if it wasn't for the Finance company they would have never fixed my car, which broke after 4 months. Warranty provided by A Owen was 6 months, yet when I went to them with the problem they asked me a detailed Warranty doc, which never was provided. After I brought this into their attention they stopped communicating with me.... I had called Finance company and said I wasn't going to pay a penny because the car is broken.. they had taken ovet from here...

They say open till 7pm on Web site, made appointment got there, closed at 6pm, went next day, saw vehicle, left holding deposit as said would be ready in 7days after all works and mot was done, 12 day's later, car was in worse condition than before and said I would have to pay extra on top of purchase price for any other work required, Then refused to return holding deposit. Millions of Garages, Don,t you this RIPOFF one.

Drove an hour to see a car they had for sale only to take it out for a test drive to break down in the middle of the road. The guy was very rude and unapologetic. Avoid at all cost.

bought my sons first car here . took back next day as probs with engine told to go away 3 times !! finally got a refund after returning on numbers of occasions and being told to get my own mechanic to check it over then not believing what i got and got their own to do ! held car for a week after me keeping on finally got my money back . delivered at start with no fuel and bald tyre which i replaced and didn’t get money back plus took back with full tank of fuel again didn’t get money back . now it’s back being sold a week later at higher price . avoid at all costs !!!

Iv spent 4k cash on a car which should last and gearbox blew up after 1-2 month and now left to defend myself after they have had car sent back to them by me +100 quid for recovery and more they have had car 3 weeks and no updates so have to keep phoning as really poor service unfortunately!!!!!!! Be vigilant wish I read reviews before 🤦‍♂️

Brought my first car from here and in the same day decided I wanted to return it! The garage were absolutely useless! Can not stress enough how awful this garage is! The car had a faulty gear box and wasn’t fit for purpose and the garage is refusing to send back the £5000 I paid for the car! Honestly just avoid it’s not worth it in my opinion this place needs shitting down!

They delivered a vehicle to me not fit for purpose , would not reply to my calls or emails , eventually agreed to pay for 1/3 of the problem even though they gave me a three month warranty ! Never paid there 1/3 after about 10 emails I gave up . STEER CLEAR OF THESE RATBAGS !!!!!

Got a car from here and within a week or so faults were showing. The engine management light came on and when checking there were no error codes so I was able to remove the light but within days it came back on. The car started to sound rough and at times when going to pull away the clutch does not fully engage and the car shakes and makes a horrendous noise! There is also an oil pressure fault which shouldn’t be occurring as the car should’ve been filled up with oil when serviced! This error comes when braking, turning corners/bends and going around roundabouts. I have contacted the company via email as it’s always best to have a trail of communication as phone calls can be dismissed.. I was given a separate sales email and have emailed both email addresses twice now and no response!!!!!

Be very careful if you are considering buying a car from this group. Take the time to read the reviews posted by others, they are genuine and may save you a lot of trouble down the line. I bought a car from this garage. Just a short while after taking possession a major fault came up. Trying to return the car and gain a refund has been a complete nightmare, and when as a buyer, what you think are your rights, seem to be disregarded, where do you go other than into a complicated, lengthy and expensive dispute. Buying your son's first car should be a happy experience because its a big milestone, but when you have to go to great lengths to get a refund within 3 days of collecting a faulty, unsafe vehicle, this is madness. When you then receive an offer for the car to be bought back by the garage for £1000 less than you paid for it, less than a week earlier, what does that say about the credibility, authenticity and customer service of the A Owen Motor Group. If i could leave a no star review, I would!

If I could give a 0 Star review I would. Where do I start...My partner bought a car from these guys, was described as excellent condition with 2 keys. Was sold with 1 key and the conditon fair from excellent. Left the garage on collection, within 5 mins the one tyre was flat. Warning lights flashing the lot. Had the car later checked over to find out, it's basically unsafe to drive and everything is falling apart. Also went and had this HPI checked, to find it is a CAT S insurance write off!! Which none of this was mention at the point of sale or on any adverts. The garage, have been THE WORST, rude on the phone and no reply to emails. No refund was offered for the missing key and NO REFUND FOR THE CAR. We are in the process of taking them to court and have been speaking to Trading standards. PLEASE STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM THIS GARAGE!
