“Using a middleman to buy from CoPart was obviously going to be a bad experience but somehow ABetterBid surprised me with just how bad they were. The vehicle I wanted was in a state that required a dealer license to bid and I mistakenly thought ABetterBid wouldn't be too bad as long as I was expecting extra headaches from them.
I got to pay ABetterBid $933 on top of the $8700 bid/Copart fees for the services that included having to bid via email instead of a web interface, aggressive sales tactics including invoices I didn't agree to that included charges for their overpriced shipping company, not being allowed to pick up the vehicle myself despite CoPart being totally fine with that (So I have to pay an extra $300 for a tow service), and now a nearly 2 month delay on ownership documents where the only updates I've gotten are when I've reached out.
I still don't have any documents from them despite picking the vehicle up on December 19 and it's now February 4. Their FAQ indicated that I would "receive your ownership documents within 2–5 weeks." I emailed them after about 3 weeks and didn't get anything useful. I've followed up multiple times and just gotten delay tactics with missed update time lines.
I was planning on waiting until I had a resolution to the story before posting a review but at this point they're so impressively bad that I have to at least share something. I'm also curious to test out if they manage to cull bad reviews as there's no way they deserve the nearly 5 star rating they have on Facebook/their website. Just a quick skim of Reddit/other forums shows just how poor of an experience most people have with them.”
“The shipping process through ABB was surprisingly fast and worry free. They worked with trusted carriers and ensured my vehicle arrived exactly when they said it would. Clear communication made a big difference.”
“Shipping with ABB couldn’t have gone better. They organized everything and gave me tracking updates throughout. The car was delivered right to my driveway in excellent condition. That kind of coordination is rare with auctions.”
“I’ve used other auction sites that hide the fine print, but ABB is different. All costs are upfront and easy to understand. That transparency helped me make an informed decision and ultimately saved me money.”
“I was looking for a project car and found A Better Bid to be the perfect platform. The auction process was transparent, and I won a car that met my expectations. Shipping was fast, and the car arrived as described. I will definitely consider using A Better Bid again.”

“ABB’s pricing structure is crystal clear. I was able to factor in all costs—car price, fees, and shipping—before bidding. No unexpected expenses came up, and that honesty made me trust them even more.”
“I was worried about hidden fees or getting scammed, but ABB was completely upfront about costs. The final price I paid matched my expectations, and the car was just as described. It’s rare to find that level of honesty in this space. I got a great deal on a 2011 Dodge Charger that only needed light mechanical work. The entire process was smooth, and the documentation arrived quickly. I’m already eyeing my next bid!”
“A Better Bid keeps things honest when it comes to pricing. The final cost matched what was on the site—no shady fees or sudden charges. It made the process feel safe and professional from start to finish.”
“If there was zero tar that what I could have chosen. Do not use the company. Nothing will ever be their problem. Not customer friendly or oriented, once they can get away with lying to you, they will charge you for the problem they caused. Do not use them and any tow company they recommend to you.”
“I was initially skeptical about buying a car online, but A Better Bid proved me wrong. The platform was user-friendly, and I appreciated the detailed car listings. The bidding process was straightforward, and I won a car at a great price. Shipping was timely, and the car was in excellent condition.”

“The shipping process with A Better Bid was smooth and professional. After completing the payment, their team quickly scheduled delivery. I received tracking updates, and the car arrived exactly as expected—no delays or issues. It made online buying surprisingly easy.”
“I bid on a car through A Better Bid and it had said it was selling in one hour. As I was watching the lot it changed to selling in 27 days after I already put a bid on it. They told me there is nothing they can do basically I can't bid on anything else for 27 days unless I put down a larger deposit or I am outbid. I already put a $600 deposit and now they want another $600 for a mess up that was not my fault. Copart won't talk to me about it because A Better Bid needs to talk to them because that is where the bid came from.”
“I appreciate ABB’s full transparency. Everything was clear—enrollment, bidding, delivery—and my car matched the listing. Their approachable staff made the whole experience feel safe and professional.”
“A Better Bid made the entire buying and shipping process seamless. Once I won the auction, they promptly connected me with a shipping coordinator who arranged everything. I was kept informed the whole time, and my car arrived in excellent condition, right on schedule. Their coordination was impressive and stress-free.”
