“This is the 2nd time in the past few months your service has been withheld because 'my license has expired'. In fact, according to your own records, my license (starting with 8 and ending with S) is valid until 3-8-2023. I just paid for another license, thinking you were correct; however, you're WRONG so, I want a full refund, an apology, and my services restored IMMEDIATELY, without the attendant problems.”

Hello. We are sorry for the negative experience with our services. The issue you described looks similar to a situation when user reinstall AdGuard and get all settings refreshed so as the application activation status. Not the license itself.
