“The transition of Setapp-based Adguard on macOS Catalina to macOS Monterey was a DISASTER. https://kb.adguard.com/en/macos/solving-problems/install-cert is just plain wrong. The cert should probably be installed in the Keychain Access.app... just like the install-from-scratch Adguard.app procedure does. (Why does kb.adguard.com contradict its own install procedure...??) And _what_ is going on with the Setapp version of Adguard not auto-updating? This all seems like a complete mess. I had to spend 2 hours figuring all this out... on my own. There are no clear KB articles, reddit references, or anything. Or at least none that I found... and I looked around A LOT. Adguard... you're an industry leader. How is it possible that you can screw this up so badly?”

“When it works, it is highly effective, and I like it. The problem has to do with accounts administration. There is a phantom Adguard account draining an annual fee out of my account a month before the official one, hcxy95c6. I have no idea how to delete a ghost which takes my money. For example, when I try to print the official receipt for this renewal, my printer can't print it, so I lose track of the account number and become vulnerable to the other renewal. This is approaching elder abuse.”

“the premium is pretty expensive at $80 but i am very happy that they offer a single purchase so i don't have to pay a reoccuring subscription. with premium i can finally block ads in apps, because most ad blockers only work in the browser. adguard is both comprehensive and easy to use, and they don't let "acceptable ads" slip through the cracks.”
