“The PfCO / GVC course is a fantastic experience that will provide all the necessary information and training to pass the exams to the the required level of the CAA, and indeed beyond. Even if you are not planning on starting a UAS business, the experience and information will give you a much better understanding of the compliance, H&S and controls that are required by responsible and competent UAS operators to perform effectively in this growing industry sector. The online course is well put together, clear, concise and easily manageable at a pace that the student can choose. The backup and support from Chris and the team is excellent. The practical is fun, my instructor, Mick, was a knowledgeable and experienced pilot, and gave a great feeling of confidence and support to a nervous student! Finally, the last stage of submitting a competent OSC to the CAA was also managed with the assistance of Chris, for which I am very grateful. I highly recommend the organisation and the team that makes this work so well. Tim Fothergill”

“I recently undertook the GVC Course with Airborne Platforms UK. It was a thoroughly enjoyable five-star experience delivered by a five-star team. Chris, Julia, Ed and Mick all worked hard to ensure I could complete the course in a most time effective way whilst gaining the depth of knowledge and experience needed to pass both the theory and practical assessments. The Learning Management System delivers course content in a linear way completing each topic in turn before proceeding to the next. This ensures that the required knowledge is consolidated before learning something new and prevents the course from being too thinly spread. The theory assessment was conducted under controlled conditions in a friendly but formal way at home. Videos in the later stages of the course show exactly what to do and how to get the best from the practical test. At the assessment, the assessor made me feel immediately at ease and through a friendly questioning and answering style managed to draw out the best in me. APUK's well-thought-out system and document structure made compiling my Operations Manual easy whilst allowing me to put my own stamp on it. Having passed the GVC, my application to the CAA was turned around in just 7 days and my Operational Authorisation was issued. I couldn’t have achieved this without the direction, help and support of the Airborne Platforms team.”

“This is the second time I have studied with the guys at Airborne, from my PfCO last year to the new A2 and GVC courses this year. After the experience last year, there was no doubt about whom I was going to do my GVC with. The courses are well structured but more than this, the support from Chris and the rest of the team is absolutely impeccable. These guys don’t just teach it, they live it, and it really comes through. They aren’t teaching you to pass a test - they are teaching you to be able to thrive in the industry.”

“A very good training institute. The online course and material is easy to follow and it’s laid out in a very usable fashion. It also combines video tutorials which help to end. Most importantly the staff are second to none and will assist whenever needed. Very fast responses and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend training with them!”

“I've just successfully completed my GVC with Airborne Platforms and from end to end the entire journey has been very informative and slick. Chris and Julia have always been on hand to deal with any questions or concerns I had and responded quickly. The educational content is very well structured and easy to follow online, something so vital when it comes to learning! I'm now confident that I can operate commercially in the safest way possible and can now concentrate on forging a successful career! Thanks to all that were involved and I'll stay in touch!”

“In the light of recent changes to the regulations for drone pilots, I wanted to ensure that I was up-to-date with the regulations and that I would be safe to others, uninvolved in my activities. I realised that the CAA's "A2 Certificate of Competency" was an essential qualification and I looked for an organisation that could provide the necessary training. Having looked at a number of training providers, I chose Airborne Platforms. They provided all the necessary course materials, online self-evaluation tests and, most importantly, support and assistance at every stage of the process. I'm delighted that I decided on Airborne Platforms as I passed, first time", at every stage of the training. I'm now the proud possessor of an "A2CofC", that will vastly extend my area of operation. I have no hesitation in recommending Airborne Platforms.”

“I'm a test pilot for a UK aircraft manufacturer, and have been a professional fixed-wing pilot in the military and civil aviation for 25 years. I decided to come to Airborne Platforms UK for my GVC based on a personal recommendation and a good experience with the free trial material - I wasn't disappointed. The training material is first-class - perhaps not the flashiest, but the quality of content is superb and it's authoritative, polished and clearly very well assured. This is what really counts - no nonsense! Chris and the team couldn't have been more helpful and enthusiastic, and my questions by email were often answered immediately. The in-person flight training with Chris was terrific and he's very good at sharing his thoughts and experience of remote piloting. I'd be pleased to recommend APUK to anyone.”

“I needed to do the A2 CofC course and after looking at several options for the training and subsequent exam i opted for Airborne platforms, I,m glad I did, Communication from Admin staff - Julia and Chris - was first class and prompt, any Queries i had were explained either by email from Julia or in a couple of instances by Chris who called me personally. The Course itself was excellent and easy to follow but very comprehensive and well presented. on the day of the exam the invigilator was very patient but also very thorough , needless to say i did pass the exam thanks to some study on my part but also due to the help and advice from the admin staff , my next goal is the GV Certificate with Airborne Platforms once i've saved up some pennies , Highly recommend this company”

“The team at airborneplatformsuk.co.uk were superb. Extremely helpful and supporting. The course material was well laid out with easy navigation via the portal so that you could login and learn at your own pace, with plenty of learning materials covering all the aspects you will need for the exam. The course has handy mini tests at the end of each section, which was great at giving you an idea as to where your strengths and weaknesses are. When it came to the final exam the process was thorough but friendly. Highly recommended. A* and I will return when my renewal is due!”
