"When you are looking for suitable training for your drone licence, it's hard to know which one as there are so many to choose from. "If you fly a drone, then you are a pilot and pilots keep people safe, but does your hobby pilot knowledge match your level of competency? Do you fly in a bubble or a cylinder, know your angle of attack, or your aircrafts terminal velocity vs its kinetic energy, or your isobars from your millibars? You soon will.\r\n\r\nThis course is the go-to place to move on from being a well-meaning but probably reckless hobbyist flyer, to a professionally pilot licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority. The support throughout this qualification was second to none, Chris and the team take you at your own pace from zero to hero, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them.\r\n\r\nIf you are prepared to work towards the ultimate goal of getting your own CAA permissions and piloting a drone for aerial photography, video, surveying or running your own business then you need the permissions from the CAA to be allowed to fly that bit closer for your client. The hobbyists drone code gets you airborne, but the CAA will never allow hobbyists to fly close enough, until you can prove that you are a competent pilot.\r\n\r\nThis course does just that, it's fun, interesting and full of the pilot stuff needed to get those first CAA permissions and rightly so, but it is 100% achievable with the support that Airborne Platforms U.K. will give you.\r\n\r\nI passed with these guys and received my CAA permissions within days of completing my final exam and flight test.
