"SCAM! SCAM!! SCAM!!!

FRAUD! FRAUD!! FRAUD!!!

DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AT YOUR OWN PERIL

This company and everyone working there are scammers. They will do a bad job and go back on everything in the contract.

On November 8, 2022, I paid American Web Coders (https://www.americanwebcoders.com) an amount of $400 to design and host a website for 12 months. The Payment was confirmed November 11, 2022.

1) Website Design took seven weeks plus before hosting.
2)Hosting began around January 5
3)The $400 paid covered content writing but I ended up writing the content myself and they never made a refund.
4) Eight (8) months into hosting, Precisely, September 8, 2023, American Web Coders took down the website claiming the 12 month hosting is expired.
5) American Web Coders is demanding $350 to renew Hosting.
6) I asked for my website files so I can take it elsewhere for hosting they refused. They asking that I pay $800 before it can be released.
7) All efforts to resolve proved abortive.
8) One Marcelina said no matter what I do, she will destroy the files if I don't pay the money and I will lose.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL LIVE TO REGRET IT. EVERY POSITIVE REVIEW YOU SEE ABOUT THEM IS STAGED. THEY HAVE NO SATISFIED CUSTOMER ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD"

"This company bait and switches what they say and do. They sold me setting up a website and allowing me to control and maintain the site. After 1 year, I was contacted by another company to designs a site. When I explained that I already had one. They said, “well we are contacting you because you don’t”. When I checked my site was gone. You can’t reach them to speak with them as their communication is only via text or email (they are not in the US). When I finally got a text back, they stated I needed to pay $650 for software upgrade and for it to be live again. They never mentioned that initially and never would have agreed because I wanted control and access to my own site to make changes etc. When I pulled my agreement, nowhere did it say that I needed to purchase additional software etc in order for the site to be live. Needless to say, my bank took care of disputing and getting my money back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!"

"This is the worst company I have dealt with in my life!!
No professionalism and very useless coders who ignore the customer's requiremnts for their website. They issued me a contract and they are not adhering to as up to 3 months after i should have gotten my website i am still not in recipt of it.
I shopped around for a web developer to build my site on a theme I had already purchased. Out of everyone, they said they could do it and charged me $550. I paid them the money and collected a site about 5 weeks later. Upon interacting with the site i realized that it was hard coded and not built on the theme i provided (which was the only reason i selected them for the job...because they said they could do it). I was presented a website which i had no idea how to maintain as I am not a programmer . I raised this issue and they claimed they would redo my website. I began getting excuses one behind the other for delays and missed deadlines. After many calls , messages and emails they presentrd me something that looked nothing like a website...it was simply a webpage filled with pictures and no functionalies and looking very poorly done. I rejected it and requested my money back as this was not what I ordered and we were now also way beyond the initial 3 weeks projected completion date...(i contracted them in January and this was now March...15 weeks later.
Since then, they have been giving me the runaround and refusing to answer my emails.
To be honest I believe these ppl are scammers and thieves...they don't adhere to what they are contractually obligated to do and string customers along without any end in site.
DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE TERRIBLE AT WHAT THEY CLAIM TO OFFER AND REFUSE TO REFUND EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE THE REFUND CLAUSE IN THEIR CONTRACT.

I reported them to the LA consumer board todayand will move forward to force them to refund my money."
