I recently had an unfortunate experience at ASDA Hulme Superstore in Manchester, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts with fellow customers. There are some serious security concerns that need addressing. 1. Car Safety Issues: The parking area around ASDA Hulme is not safe for cars. Just a few days ago, my car window was smashed, leaving me frustrated and concerned. It’s disheartening to see that the security staff isn’t proactive in preventing such incidents. 2. Security Staff Lapses: I observed a security guard leaving his post for an extended period. After 45 minutes, he returned, seemingly indifferent to his responsibilities. When I asked him to check the CCTV footage, he casually dismissed my request, claiming that the area was a blind spot. But here’s the catch: this blind spot is right in front of the shop entrance! It’s baffling that security personnel would neglect such a critical area. 3. Suspicious Agreement? I can’t help but wonder if there’s an unspoken agreement between the security team and potential wrongdoers. While I don’t encourage theft, it appears that car break-ins are somehow overlooked. It’s as if there’s a cover for those who want to damage vehicles. In summary, ASDA Hulme Superstore needs to prioritize customer safety. I urge fellow shoppers to be cautious and take extra measures to protect their cars while visiting this location.

Filthy disgusting toilets. Toilets should be checked on a hourly basis for hygiene. I refused to use the toilet and was told by a member of staff that the toilets was cleaned this morning. I visited Asda at 2.05pm.

just encountered a terrible ordeal in your Asda store hulme Manchester. Around the time of 4.30_5pm . After 5 minutes of being in your store I realised my phone had been taken out of my pocket !! (The phone also had my money inside) So I ran to security explaining my phone had been taken from my coat pocket that I have just literally entered the building and want them to check there CCTV to see who took it. Obviously I am a little distraught and panicked at this point , to be told they can not do that it's against public protection to show me! Ok ..so quickly I comprehend that, understood the legislation of data protection, so proceeded to ask them to look at the CCTV for the protection of the other shoppers ( your customers) so at least your security can approch the person people's involved.I was told that's not how it goes!!! by this time the manager is present and iv asked to use a phone to phone my phone as it's unlockable without a pin and because of my heard of hearing the ring tone is distinctive I would hear it going round the store the security guard agreed after a nod from the manager the manager was not helpful actually told me there is nothing he can do for me to leave because I'm being hostile!!! Nothing he can do for me or his other customers in store!! There's a thief in your premises iv just been robbed ( pickpocketed) and there's nothing you can do!! I insisted he phones the police I have been robbed in your store and need to report it, as I now have no phone to do so. The security did phone the police and whilst the security was explaining the situation a member of staff had approached with my phone !!! All my money still inside!!! At that point I was told to leave!! Leave !! I asked who/where was it found and told again to leave your custom is not welcome here!! I asked for somebody above him (the manager) he replied there is nobody above him here please leave, can I just point out whilst all this is happening actually a member of staff who was wearing a yellow fleace and woollen lookin hat actually said the the manager you shouldn't talk to people like that and actually is the same guy I showed where I had been in the store. I addimittingly say at this point I am very upset and start shouting to all customers protect your pockets and bags there's a thief in store and if you get robbed the manager Asda can not help you it's not there policy. I was not the quietest of people I was frustrated and felt helpless with nowhere to get help.I wanted to stay wait for the police but was told repeatedly to leave, I was upset annoyed and disappointed the way the situation was delt with and handled the manager was rude not at any point willing to help as he seen me as being hostile from when I asked then to at least look at CCTV to see if they the security can approch the person people's involved .I left upset yet very very thankful my phone was found / returned I still don't know how the member of staff came across my phone but would like to bring it to your attention the manager was extremely rude not willing to help or at least willing to understand the situation and the risk to other shoppers I have shopped at this store for many many years and is disgusted with the handling of this whole situation. I myself phoned the police when returned home explained the situation and was informed that because I got the phone back theres actually no theft to report and was advised to contact head office complaints for Asda . I am unsure if you can look into the protection of your customers and what future measures you could take to at least allow security to look at CCTV and approch the person who actually comiting a crime in your stores towards your customers if a customer steals from your store the CCTV would be used imediatly the police would be called and procedures would have to be followed it's a shame you haven't got any care for customers as a victim of crime in your stores . I hope the very least this brings to light that your staff should be trained to at least be understanding of a future situation.

Terrible layout. Shelves constantly a mess. Vegan section often not restocked with some items for weeks at a time. Prices often not even on display for items. Meat left in the vegan section. Vegan fridge section is currently labelled "lamb".

What is the point of having somebody wearing a mask stood infront of a table with an ample amount of free masks for customers at the entrance whislt hardly any people were wearing them in the store? You would think Lockdown did not exist in that store, as many people are simply selfish, inconsiderate or dare i say.. downright stupid.

Covid disaster zone. Profits over lives. No limit to the number of people to bump in to or squeeze past. Where your mask round your neck if at all. Far too many people unlike Saisburys, Tesco and Coop I now use. Simply not safe to visit.

Sorry to say but Asda Hulme has let itself down with chronic overcrowding in store yesterday. Since the removal of physical distancing measures it’s been a free for all and is now an insecure Covid 19 incubator. I have felt more secure at the Etihad Stadium surrounded by thousands of people, rather than in store yesterday.

Unhelpful and Unsympathetic Having worked late,. covered in paint and turps. I thought I'd call in and buy some vape refills to go with a cold beer once I'd walked home. It was 10pm. There were 2 Asda employees stood in front of the counter ( who were clearly looking after that area), who refused to accommodate in any way, despite the fact they could have reached over the counter to get to the requested item. I understood that the till may be closed and suggested that they reach over and get the items and I would, happily, take and pay for them at the main checkouts. Again, I was refused. Wasted journey and not late night worker friendly. Wrong work ethic and flawed customer service principles in my opinion. Whole transaction and physical act of passing the desired items to customer would have taken all of 1 minute had they been a bit more helpful.

3 weeks ago They accused me of stealing. I only went in to empty my bladder, wearing a vest and shorts, I was attending circuit training at the fire station for the first time. So me in my vest and shorts exited at the same time as a man pushing a full trolly with extra layers. They have NO COMMON SENSE to accuse me! I think they just wanted drama, but because I'm mixed race and have a bald head you can understand why I feel abit discriminated against. I think the other guy with the trolley full of shopping must have not been served properly at checkout to remove a tag. So this was all Asda's doing. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE DISCRIMIMSTION A BIG UNNECESSARY ACT that could've been resolved and sorted with good professionalism. UNPROFFESIONAL All I wanted to do was use the toilet. Next time I'd rather do it in a bush. I really dislike this store now. Security can't do their job..... UNSAFE

The place is grim. Baskets have mould in. Floors are filthy. Food often takes days to be restocked. Mess everywhere. Front of the store and car park is constantly full of litter. Items often go off long before their date of expiry (This admittedly is probably a problem with Asda in general and not just this store)The staff are lovely but this is genuinely a disgusting establishment. Avoid at all costs.

It used to be my favourite place of shopping, they got Asda, Argos, pound stretcher, KFC , B&M and other local shops, until I have recently got this parking fine for exceeding the parking time. Really, is that how you treat your costumers. The sign for parking limits is not even clear. I had to go back to look for it after receiving the fine. How do you except your costumers to enjoy shopping and spend time and money in the retail park, if you are going to fine them. What you're going to loss, if you let your costumers park their car for few minutes extra, it was empty huge car park. You should have a stand against bullying your costumers via parking company, otherwise you're going to have many ex costumers like me.

I complain to Asda a month ago and they promised me to look into my comments and contact me as soon as possible. So NO one contacted me from asda since then. I did order No: XXXXXXXXXX on 29 December 2017 for collection on 30 December 2017 12pm - 1pm from Asda in Beckton from clickcollect services. When I arrived on the next day to collect all my items I was given a basket without whole duck and beetroot. I asked asda worker who gave me this basket about missing items but he said that all items in this basket. I took receipt he gave along with basket to me and I find missing items on this receipt. So, no one item has been cancelled on the receipt. I asked him again about missing items I paid for but he just said he does not know and suggested just take all items he bring in this basket and go. Basically it was some kind of robbery from Asda store for me. I was shocked and asked him to call for a manager. He sent me to customer services desk inside the store. At costumer desk I asked asda stuff to see the manager to talk about this situation. They called for the manager. I was waiting for around 20 minutes but nobody came. I went back to the clickcollect services and on my surprised my duck was in my basket. The responsible person for clickcollect knew about I am waiting for her at costumer desk but she did not come to me. She said that clickcollect is different department and she does not need to go to customer desk to see unhappy clients. I was unpleasantly shocked again she was talking about. Why I was sent to costumer desk meanwhile they were waiting for me at clickcollect. I was argued with her for a while but I was not heard. I asked her about the badge name of the person who gave me this basket for further complaint online but she said she does not have to give fellow worker badge name. So, why asda workers wearing badges and I cannot ask their names on this badge. I suppose they are thief. So, I got the worst shopping experience I ever had in my life. Basically, It was daylight robbery. I spent 40 minutes at clickcollect in stress. I was lucky that my wife checked all the items in this basket and find items. Otherwise I could find missing item at home only. In this case, how I can prove to asda I did not get my duck after I collected in asda. So, thank you Asda for Christmas “presents” from you. I mean thank you for stress, bad New Year mood and my opinion about your services. p.s. The main thing in this order was the whole duck. I could not find the whole duck at any shop at this day, so it was very important for me to get this duck for New Year. It is very annoying when asda workers ignore your online orders and for me it was just daylight robbery that made my day very unpleasant. p.s. Beckton Asda ClickCollect had two click collect machines there and one of this machine was not working but asda workers did not bother to put sticker on it "This machine is out of order. Please use another machine. THANK YOU" Thank you for spending your time on reading this complaint. I am very sorry I have been your Asda client on this day.

On a Saturday they don’t even have a full stock of milk! If you go early they haven’t stocked the shelves. If you go late they regularly run out of the basics.
