“I developed Diabetes 2 (DM2) a few years back now. One of my lunchtime routines was to have a glass of cold "no sugar added" orange juice. In my consultation with the team dietitian after the initial confirmation of DM2 she explained that commercial orange juice still contained a lot of sugar and suggested sugar-free herbal teas. It was a great idea and I adopted it straight away. Most of those cold infusions were made by Twinings, but Red Seal teas also started to appear. I found them all palatable. Over the years Twinings phased out from my & other supermarkets leaving me with Red Seal about which there wasn't a problem. However slowly my supermarket started to offer those teas at ½ price and once again the writing was on the wall and they were phased out. Luckily I had a little stockpile that tided me over until stocks were renewed. AHP made provision online for sending reminders when stocks were replenished & that happened recently, so I could reorder at prices cheaper than my supermarket, provided you ordered enough in one go to spread the postage over several boxes. So I have a 100% sugar-free cold drink each day with my lunch and dinner. I tend to have three types of tea in use at a time rotating the flavors over a three-day cycle.”
