“I usually buy standard mens size 9. This time attracted by the lack of colour (black) I bought my first pair of chunky soled shoes. I was a bit discomforted at first because they were obviously a little smaller than my well worn old pair and not only that the heal was unstable and tended to wobble a bit like walking on studs. I got used to the heels and after persevering with a bit of discomfort I guess I stretched them to my shape. They are fine now. I wore them to a hospital appointment yesterday and didn't feel out of place. !”

“I bought a pair of Chunky Tread British Brogue Garden Clogs which turned out to be a bit too small - I returned them for a larger size and a different design - The team at the warehouse couldn't have been more helpful and my new choice arrived quicker than expected. I am more than happy now with the fit and am looking forward to getting exended wear from the new chunky Tread design.”

“This is my second pair of backdoor shoes, first pair bought at Burghley Horse Trials in Sep 2018 & still going strong! I'll keep this new pair at my elderly mum's backdoor as I visit her frequently, so handy to slip on when you go out into the garden. They are comfortable, lightweight, handy & practical as well as attractive & I recommend them to everybody.”

“I ordered a pair of chunky tread clogs 1 size larger than my usual size as instructed. My feet flop around in them, so I returned them. As I had already paid for delivery & return I didn’t want to increase my outgoings just to try them on. I returned the clogs 9/05/19 but have not heard from Backdoor shoes to date (14/05/19). My star rating may increase once they have responded.”

“I have 2 pairs of backdoor shoes, one for the front door and one for the back door. They're so very convenient when I just need to go outside briefly to, for instance, collect the post or to stock up on wood for my stove.”

“While basically the shoes seemed very good and fit for purpose according to the advertising they did not meet our requirements. We were looking for what seems to be termed 'backdoor' shoes but needed wider fitting than supplied (arthritic toes) and with a sole strong enough for light digging. Sadly these requirements seem too much for the shoe industry.”

“Arrived promptly, and beautifully packaged with a reusable storage bag (although that is unlikely to be used). Design is as shown, weight of the shoe was a lot lighter than expected. The fit is a little more snug than other shoes of that size, but is very comfortable. Will be interesting to see how long they last.”
