“Second time I ordered these shoes. My last two pairs were fabulous and comfy. I replaced them with two pairs about a month ago, and BOTH pairs squeak every time I walk, it is ridiculous. I've even put vaseline under the insoles. They are clearly much more cheaply made, the insole are totally inferior to the previous ones. I will not buy these again, and I do not recommend them, a massive let down on what were an excellent product. I have the honey bees and poppies design...... back door people, you really need to check this out, the insoles do not fit the shoes properly and the literally creak on every single step!!!!”

Dear Tracey, Firstly, we are disappointed that you have received shoes which are not satisfactory and will of course rectify the situation immediately. We sell a lot of clogs with almost no complaints and take our customer's feedback very seriously. In 13 years we have always maintained and improved upon the quality of our shoes. Squeaking can occur when they have been purchased too small or the insoles are not fitted correctly. We feel that perhaps the insoles are faulty given that they don't appear to fit properly as you have mentioned. “After placing an order on 2nd December, on the 18th December I am still waiting for my parcel to arrive. Why use the Post Office when other carriers are so much more reliable? I have very little hope now that my order will arrive before Christmas.”

“I have bought Backdoorshoes previously (size 5/38) and they fit perfectly, I absolutely love them! As my last pair are getting a bit scruffy now I decided to buy another pair. I ordered same size as before (5/38) but when they arrived they were far too big for me. I measured them against my old ones and found they were at least one size bigger. I contacted Backdoorshoes to tell them of the problem. I was told to return them with a note. I wrote an explanatory note, I enclosed photos showing the difference between my old size 5 and this new size 5, and I returned them asking for the problem to be investigated so I could order another pair. After all, I wanted another pair but didn’t know what size to order, ie was this a one-off fault in sizing or has your sizing changed altogether? In other words what size do I order now? Well I haven’t heard anything. Just got the money refunded. No explanation, no reason, no thanks for pointing it out, no nothing! So, what size shall I order then?????”

“Very disappointed, had 2 pairs size 12 in the past (still wearing them) but the latest pair, size 13! are a lot more narrow. The lumpy soles are non slip l know but walking about in them l can feel the lumps through my feet. I am trying to ‘wear them in’ but then go back to the old ones. So very disappointed.”

“Was VERY disappointed in the new version of the men's shoes. The length and width are fine but the depth is far too narrow. Am trying to stretch them using soup cans. Had to replace my other ones as the soles were dangerously flat but they did fit perfectly.”
