Told table would be ready in 5-10 mins 20 mins later nothing. I counted at least 6 empty tables. After standing by the stairs to try and gain the waitress attention she said she would be with me in a minute then went into the kitchen totally ignoring me 5 mins later I left. Total waste of time

We had a table book for 10 people at 12 o'clock in the afternoon. When we arrived my partner popped to the gents by the bar and was disgusted by the state of them, and stunk so went to the ones in the resurant and the stunk and one was blocked. So I complained about that. The place should have been cleaned. we were sat on a round table in the corner and forgotten about. Wasnt asked if we wanted drinks.(How can you forget a table of 10) we watched staff standing there chatting amongst themselves. We waited for another further 20 mins only for one of our table to actually get up and asked the waitress if we can have someone over so.that we could order our food. The service was disgusting. We quite often stay at the premier inn next door and have used the restaurant several times but each time we have noticed the service and the standard of food slowly going down hill. Probably won't eat in the resturant again.

I booked breakfast at the Beefeater Haywain whilst staying at the Premier inn. Upon entry we were told to step back in the most discourteous manner and left to wait. After being seated we were left to wait again whilst the staff focused on setting tables for guests to come rather than take our order, even though the restaurant had less than an hour to close? We ordered our breakfast and asked for our sausages in particular to be well done. To our shock and disbelief the sausages were burnt black! The member of staff blamed the chef, but my question is would you not check to see what has been cooked before bringing it to the table, or should we just pay for burnt food? The service was poor. Their excuse for was that this one of the busiest Beefeater’s in England, but with one hour to go where are 300 people coming from ?? Additionally is this the reason why the service has to be so poor ? I’ve worked in hospitality and therefore understand the pressure that comes with the work, but honestly it was a terrible experience staff need more training on how to be nice and welcoming and chefs need to be fired!

the food quality and quantity has got worst over the past few months, also we visited in january 2024 and there was a foul smell from the toilets in the dining area , visited easter, toilets were now closed had to use bar toilets, toilet cubical door was open and toilet was blocked, floaters and paper in the bowl, disgusting, the whole place needs a refurb.

Such a shame! - The haywain has gone done hill so fast. Understaffed like most places nowadays, the waitress had a couldn’t give a damn attitude- food was hour and 10 mins arriving and cold! Place needs a good overhaul and deep clean. Toilets had two cubicles - one with broken seat and one with a broken light. Overall experience was pretty disappointing! Wouldn’t waste 100 quid again!

Haywain was packed so we had to wait an hour and 10minutes for our food. When it arrived it was barely warm but we tried it. Some of it was uncooked. The problem is they are understaffed, overpriced and the food is served up and left on the counter for 10 minutes or more because waitresses are asking customers what drinks they want and not available to serve food. Never going there again Nearly 100 pound wasted.

Visited lunchtime today. My friend had her phone opened on the meerkats promotion and was informed , in a not so professional manner, that that it was no longer available. That , of course, was absolutely fine, when asked if we could use the 33% off food code, was told "only if it's valid". Again that of course is absolutely fine as it was a valid voucher code. What I find unacceptable is in the manner that our waitress served us. Myself and the rest of my party found her to have a very condescending attitude towards us throughout our visit. We have visited the Haywain on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed our experience. Though, our meals didn't meet your usual expected standard, this happen sometimes, the service and attitude we encountered today is our last visit.
