“Been to the Haywain Basildon today to celebrate a birthday, sorry to say it wasn't great, firstly we all thought the starter menu was dire, nothing much to choose from, the main coarse was slightly better but nothing outstanding,the birthday boy had fillet steak and so did his grandson, both were tough as old boots, 4 guests had meals with coleslaw and they thought it was off,my daughter and i had the fish & chips that were not very hot and the waitress had attitude.
Needless to say we won't be returning anytime soon.”
“It didnt. Have been dinning here for many years. Todays roast dinner was very poor, no choice of meat available at 1pm, just chicken & that wasnt fresh it was a chicken frozen steak 🙁

“Had the lunch offer today. I had the beef burger which was ok. Friends had fish and chips which looked like it had been cooked at 10 o’clock in the morning and kept warm you had to search hard for the fish as it was just a plate of dried out batter
Used to come here years ago. It has gone right downhill. Never again!”
