I was quite pleased with my dealings with Best at Flooring although I did have to chase up as to whether or not my Karndean flooring had arrived as my understanding was that I would be contacted as soon as it had. I ordered £1111.00 worth of Karndean Palio Clic Arezzo flooring. As usual it did not live up to my expectations. We've had trouble with it in the past and only ordered it so we could run through from our dining room that had it through into the lounge. Not only was the shade different which we would be a risk given we've had the dining room flooring for two years now but it was a different thickness as the new flooring did not have the foam backing as the dining room floor so the new planks look cheaper and we had to fir a floor strip between the two rooms s a consequence which was very disappointing. However, there was also some damage to the planks which our floor fitter managed to work around when fitting. We did however, notice what we though were dirt marks, small black spots on three of the planks that had been laid. I cannot get them off as they seem to be some kind of ink possibly from the manufacturing process. I'll be interested to hear Best at Floorings response to this. Kind regards. Mike Barr

Hi Michael, As a company who are dedicated to customer service, we are upset to hear about your most recent review. I would firstly like to thank you for acknowledging the quality of your experience within our team. As you have stated, unfortunately there can be batch and colours variations with any flooring products, however this must all be within commercial tolerance. In regards to the thickness of the product, Karndean offer the Palio Clic which is 4.5mm product and does not have a built-in underlay, Karndean, although not available through our website, also offer the Palio Core product which is 6.5mm and has a built-in underlay. Both these ranges are available in the same colours, but do have different product codes. We do ask all customers to inspect the products upon receipt for any damages, as we would be able to resolve this quite easily, either by offering replacement planks or a part refund for the damaged goods if they are useable, this should be done with 24 hours of receiving the goods. We have checked through our email inboxes and unfortunately have not received any emails or calls to report the damaged goods or the ink spots on the planks. I will happily get in touch with Karndean in regards to the marks on the planks and let you know their response asap. If you would like to give us a call to discuss this further that would not be a problem. I will email yourself as soon as I get a response from Karndean in regards to the marks on the boards. The staff I spoke to on the phone were very helpful and we were able to order everything straight away. Unfortunately they were let down badly by the delivery people, who didn’t turn up on the arranged day (without letting us know, so we had stayed in all day for nothing). When the flooring did arrive the next day it had obviously been left out somewhere damp, some of the packaging was damaged, and had wet, dirty foot marks on it. No way to treat our new expensive flooring! Our complaint was dealt with sympathetically on the phone and, since the flooring itself didn’t, on the face of it, seem to have been permanently damaged, we decided not to return it immediately. Of course we won’t really know whether it is still fit for purpose until it is fitted in a few weeks time. So, the above rating would probably have been ‘good’ or even ‘very good’ had it not been for the less than acceptable delivery service.

Only received 1/2 packs then they sent the 2nd pack out the following day and it was the wrong pack. Not best pleased. Won’t order from them again!

I ordered 49 packs of flooring. I've not managed to check them all but already i can see that two packs are damaged and unusable. The delivery driver actual said he'd sign my paperwork and then walked off so i didn't get a chance to get a copy of the paperwork let alone read through it to check what i ordered.
