“Look, I was an extraordinarily fussy child. I was so fussy that despite my tastebuds having now evolved and developed, I have resounding trauma around trying new foods - I am terrified they will taste (or feel!) like absolute sh*t. If you'd have told me a year ago that I'd found a bean SO delicious, juicy, texturally appealing and succulent that I would eagerly forgo meat for dinner, as well as SUBSCRIBE to receiving 6 jars on the reg, I'd have considered calling the police on a mad man. We would have loved to have bought the book but we are vegan and Ive seen that not all the recipes in the book are vegan.
We are struggling to understand why with such a nutritious naturally vegan product you would add slaughtered animals to the recipes😔😔
The portrayal of dead animals in the photos in the book has sadly deterred us from purchasing it, as it will many other vegans I'm sure.”

You’re right that beans are naturally plant-based, and we love that they’re such a great fit for vegan cooking. That said, we’re not a vegan brand – we’re a bean brand – and our MISSION is to get more people eating better beans, whatever their diet! That’s why the cookbook includes a mix of recipes, some of which include animal products, though many are vegan or easy to adapt. This way, people can use familiar ingredients they are used to eating to transition to a more bean fuelled diet. We completely understand your perspective and really appreciate you taking the time to share it with us.
