I never liked beans until as part of healthy eating i decided to give these a go, lovely flavour and creamy texture. Ive made quite a few of the recipes online and in the book.
Today ive made curry/dahl queen chickpeas:- chopped onion, chilli, garlic , 2 tomatoes and peppers, 2 tblsp pataks curry paste, 1 large jar of chickpeas, 1 tblsp coconut cream, 1 tblsp of fredas chilli peanut butter and finish with corriander.”
“As a newly turned 'social carnivor' ( I only eat meat if I am a guest at someone's house, as I hate to cause extra work and agro), my diet has really changed at home. I make a lot of humous with the chickpeas, sometimes mixing with beetroot or roasted aubergine, but my real winner is a quick cassarole of gently fried shallots, tomato puree, vegetable stock, a jar of delicious BOLD BEAN chickpeas and some rose harrisa and supper is ready. Serve with brown basmati or pearl barley and garnish with corriander. On another note...my cholesterol has dropped significantly since my diet changed...so a winner all round!”

Shame Ocado doesn’t do the big jars because I get through them. Just waiting for BBCo to do a jar of mixed beans for my beany casseroles. Have only done two recipes from the book. The Bean Florentine was absolutely delicious, but sadly the roasted cauliflower one went in the bin. Will try others and hope for better results.”
