They even managed to create two accounts for me, proceed to tell me that they would transfer the credit from my old account to the new account, proceed to not do that, proceed to remove the credit from that account, proceed to give me no refund, proceed to tell me they actually can't move credit between accounts, proceed to bill me for bills from over 12 months ago MONTHS after sending me a final bill.

3 months waiting for £650 refund from British Gas and NOTHING but broken promises and excuses. They have even lied to me in writing multiple times (see attached image for one example last month). I feel like I have been scammed!!
They will reply reviews by saying they want to help and I should contact X department who will help BUT every time I call I get another excuse and they act like scammers AGAIN!

Took 2x payments of £239.57, one in error, saying I would receive a refund for the first payment immediately. This never arrived. Spoken with them several times. Say they can't see second payment. They requested a copy of my bank statement which was sent. Now no reply to my emails.
It like they can take your money with no consequences.

No wonder they are racking in the profits!
We gave British Gas so many chances: we tried to find a reasonable fixed-rate deal, contacted their customer service (which was awful), arranged engineer visits that never happened, changed to smart readers (which failed to work) and requested a refund since he's hundreds of pounds in credit.

What a nightmare
Promised us a new boiler for christmas
Our boiler broke at the start of December
And we waited for British Gas to mess us around to end up with no hot water or heating for a whole month plus christmas with a 2 year old in -5 weather
Which cause we had a 2 year old we are fast track, what a lie
They are all super nice until they get your money and boom! The nightmare starts
It was one thing after another, no one talks to each other, and they just blame one and other for mistakes or problems!
They also put scaffolding on the wrong side of my house, then refused to move or take it down, I had to ring the scaffolding company myself muti time to get it took down
We ended up going with a local company which were amazing!!!
But trying to get a refund back from British Gas was also a nightmare, we was in our rights for one as it was still in the 14 days refund policy but to get the refund I had to hold all there piles and new boiler I had I'm my garage hostage which they tried multiple time to collect,
As soon has I had my refund them collected it but it couldn't come to that really!
AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALSO VERY OVER PRICED!!

I have raised a complaint. I was promised for the 100th time my bill would be out by today and I would receive compensation and a refund processed. Again!! You have lied, and ignored my emails. You are actually a dishonest, thieving company. I have been with you for over 15 years. I am done being lied to!!!

I recently moved to another energy company but had overpaid £190 it took nearly 4 weeks for refund after two calls. They agreed to give me a £50 credit for my issues still waiting on that 8 weeks later and 4 calls relating and being advised on every call it was sorted and i would have they money debited to my account.
