“The Calendar Club website glitched during my purchase and they refused to make it right by me. I was trying to see if they could do a buy online and pickup in store. I selected the appropriate store and proceeded to the checkout. The website glitched and didn't show me shipping costs, so I figured it was letting me place a pick up in store order. I pressed the submit button. But, the process was questionable to me. So, I took a screenshot of the order page. The screenshot showed no shipping costs and also shows the "Processing" button, proving that I submitted the order while believing there were no shipping costs as I wanted to pick it up myself.
Within minutes, I received an order confirmation email showing shipping costs. I immediately emailed them asking them to cancel the order. This was on a Sunday night. Since then, I've emailed back and forth and phoned them and they have refused to refund the shipping charges. They've since stopped responding to me. I have a local Calendar Club store and absolutely didn't want to pay for shipping for something I could pick up in store.
My experience with this company has been awful. I won't be supporting them in the future.”
“Wanted to order 4 different calendars. Looked on Calendar Club site, one out of stock (this should have been a clue). Put same 4 calendars in Amazon cart; all available Prime next day. But buy 3 at Calendar Club; get 3rd half off. So ordered the one on Amazon and the three in stock at Calendar Club at the same time; saving a whole $8 total. 12 hours later one I ordered from Amazon was on my front step (super fast; now I was wondering why I didn't just order all 4 from Amazon in the first place). 8 days later I get an email from Calendar Club that my calendars have been delivered. Uh, nope. Canada Post had misrouted or something. Maybe lost, no idea. I contacted Calendar Club; customer service was helpful and nice. I contacted Canada Post; they put in a query. I asked Calendar Club for a refund; and I would simply buy from Amazon. They had to wait until they heard from Canada Post. 2 days later I decided to just order myself from Amazon; can't wait forever for this to resolve itself. Next day 2 of the 3 Amazon calendars were on my front step (3rd was coming in 2 days) plus Calendar Club parcel showed up. I looked at return policy for Calendar Club; I was responsible for shipping back (unlike Amazon; free returns). Shipping would cost me $21; whole order was only $52.50. Decided not worth the work, driving to post office and paying $21 that may not even mean I get my $52.50 back. I tossed the unopened Calendar Club parcel in the recycle bin and an hour later it went to the city dump; unopened to live for eternity in the landfill. (Guess I could have returned the ones to Amazon instead and got a refund; didn't think about that). Kind of good stress relief actually watching the unopened parcel that caused me anguish going unopened to the dump (realistically would be going there in 12 months anyways). So to save $8 it ended up costing me $60 extra for two sets of calendars and a bunch of extra waiting time. Ultimately I had to double buy my calendars this year. Calendar Club was helpful with the issue (don't know why they said I received it when I hadn't). To save a couple of $ I will never, ever order anything from Calendar Club again. Just order from Amazon; will receive immediately, free returns, etc. Sorry, better business models out there to purchase from. Faster and less headaches. The miniscule amount of $ you save isn't worth it...especially when you have to buy your product twice!!”
