“Hired a Luton Van twice over a couple of weeks. Bothe times: very easy to use website, quick handover in the office then quick handover/inspection on the road. Good instructions to use the tail-lift. Van in very good working order with good radio, heating, all controls. Pleasant office staff, was able to pick up earlier than initially stated no problem. Felt a valued customer. Would definitely use again.”

Booked online on the thursday evening, collected car on the saturday morning, a quick bit of paperwork and a run through on the cars features, and i was on my way. Lovely BMW 3.18i (at a price very hard to beat) , very clean, new tyres, lovely car, smashing local company. Would recommend, will use again.”
“A friendly, family run business nestled in the heart of Caversham. However, they could run this business a bit professionaly. Almost 30 minutes waiting while they sorted out the paper work and we were the only customer in the whole time. Vehicle was clean but quite old with many minor to moderate dents around (strongly recommend taking a 360deg video on collection). After leaving the site realised the door doesnt close properly due to a pre-existing damage near the latch and road noise was unbearable in the motorway. Getting back the £200 deposit was a nightmare needing several phone calls and eventually was credited back to card after near 3 weeks. Dont buy the CDW as its a rip off cost without the option of making it to zero.”
“It pains me to write this review, as I did find most of the staff that I have spoken to in regards to my booking were absolutely lovely.
I hired a mid size car for a weekend and was shocked to find it was over 8 year old when I picked this up! It has so many scratches etc when you inspect, that you cannot list them all. What upset me was the picture they use on the website was the latest VW Golf - and the car we were given was not even the model shown. Worried about the age I had no choice but take the car as I needed to leave... It broke down at the M6 service station ( it would not start when we return from a comfort break) The guy from Caversham called out the RAC who said the starter connection was 'bodged' and it was no wonder it had failed. 3 hours later we got back on our journey only to find that on our return we got a parking ticket for staying too long at the M6 service station. When talking to Caversham vehicle hire they were all so helpful and with them sending my the RAC document, the fine was excluded. All I want to warn people is that the cars they hire are very old... too old and don't reflect to the image they sell on. Please note the Staff are good, but the policy on cars not.”
“When booking your pick up time with caversham car hire make sure to leave time as we had to wait over an hour to actually get the van, during this time the lady mischarged us £200 deposit which we had actually already paid so she had that money sent back to us. The van was perfect for our needs and returning it was very quick as well. However, the issue came when we waited for our deposit of £200, the woman first told us that it had already been paid back until we reminded her that was the deposit she had wrongly taken from us. It then took 2 months and several calls and a talk with the manager for the company to finally give us our deposit back.”
“The staff weren't friendly. There was no welcome or smile. Every minute that we stood waiting in their office for the van was obviously a complete inconvenience for them. We were passed between 5 members of staff and it was obvious no one had a clue what they were doing.
Had to wait almost two weeks for a deposit to be returned. Won't be using again.”

HOLE IN FLOOR IN BACK OF VAN.
ONLY ONE DOOR WORKING AND OPENING AT BACK OF VAN.
FRONT LEFT WHEEL SOUNDS DODGY WHEN YOU BRAKE AND CHANGE GEAR.
NO SIGNS IN TOP OF GEAR STICK.
AND PAID 180£ FOR THE PRIVALEGE TO RENT VAN FOR 3 DAYS.
ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING CONDITION.
We had to drive to Devon from reading in this bone shaker and it's only a 2015 plate .
Not good at all.”
