The technician installing the unit was very helpful in siting the unit in my preferred location. The unit is compact and very easy to use.

Installation date was planned very promptly. Telephone contact clear and re-assuring. We were advised on the day that the installation would be slightly delayed but arrival on site was at the rescheduled time. Installation was efficiently and neatly carried out. We were surprised to be told that we needed an earth rod as we had not been warned about this. We also had not been told that there must not be anything metallic within two metres of the charging socket. Our outside light had to be disconnected as it had a metal frame. (Double insulated plastic light fitted subsequently). Renault had said that installation would be at no extra cost but this was not clear from the Chargemaster documentation. Possible additional cost to the customer needs to be more transparent. Our Renault agent needs to be better informed about all of this. All in all, a good job.

Overall experience is very good, but the company needs to brush up on customer focus. Had to chase up few times after application to get the install date which in the end got pushed forward by about 3 weeks which is a bonus. Install was made in a tidy way, demonstrated and tested. Certificate arrived in few days. Ordered the charging cable and again after a week of placing an order had to chase it up as it didn't arived only after that it was dispatched with 24h courier.

Having no help from car salesman as to charging at home, I did research on the web. Everything pointed to BP Chargemaster. Did all that was asked for online e.g. photos. and then spoke to one of the ladies from installation and agreed a date. Next day the lady rang again with an earlier date which was wonderful. Did not get a text from fitter as it says in the paperwork but he did arrive on time . He was very helpful with the positioning of the charger, and once satisfied he started. He did not seem to stop for a break or calls on the phone like a lot of tradesmen I have had, and in 4 hours was up and running ready to charge my new car. As for my car salesman he rings me asking who I used to fit the charger so that he could recommend .
