“I booked this pottery taster experience as a birthday treat for my friend. The venue was easy to find and Malory, who took the class, was very welcoming, friendly and put us all at ease straight away. There's only a maximum of 4 'students' in a class so we had ample of 1-2-1 time with Malory, who after explaining the principals of pottery making, guided us unrushed through each stage of the hands-on experience of making our pots. It was a fascinating class that I thoroughly recommend as not only do you have a lot of hands-on pottery time using the wheel and various techniques using clay, but you also experience how potters studio runs. “My class with Simon and Hannah was an absolute joy. They were incredibly friendly and patient teachers, guiding me through how to make 3 authentic East Asian buns. Hannah made some delicious condiments to go with our buns in the tasting session and you get plenty of leftovers to take home! “Had a great experience on Saturday drawing my dog. The teacher prepared sketches in advance, which we then used as a template to paint. During the class, we were given lots of tips on how to adjust the shades, and light, add volume, improve the texture and even out the background.
