“For those of you who are vigilant about investing (watching for when coins crash and peak), notice how every time the market crashes, Coinbase has "connection issues" during this time it will not allow you to make any purchases. So now when the coin is at its lowest (hence it is most profitable to buy), Coinbase does not let you buy. Suddenly, when the price has gone up to the point where it is less profitable and more risky to buy, the "the connection issues" go away. For example today, the market crashed. I tried to buy literally at its lowest (BTC was $25,409; LTC was $60.75) suddenly "connection issues". Right now BTC is $26.465; LTC is $64.25, still "connection issues". SCAM at its finest.”

“Yes it is very possible with them. I lost about 7.8 Bitcoin via a phishing website I clicked by mistake and that wiped all my money off. After several research and sleepless nights, I settled with the RecoveryCoinGroup at Gmail dot com and my Bitcoin was recovered without any form of trouble. “I got scammed of $200k worth of bitcoin to an online Fake investment company, after paying several fees to get our funds off the platform, I came across an article online about a fund recovery company whom we got in contact with. “He did a great job, you deserve an accolades on this West, can't explain my happiness right now, what I received on my wallet was so great and amazing exactly the amount that was stolen from my wallet, I thought Hack West is still one of those online recovery scams who will promise to recover your lost funds and abscond after taken payment; but this wasn’t the case as West recovered my 9.4 Ethereum and 2.4 BTC that was stolen from my Trust wallet after I mistakenly clicked on an airdrop link. “I opened a Coinbase account for the express purpose of converting USD into BTC for transfer to a Canadian brokerage house to convert back into fiat currency for trading in stocks and options. They only accepted cryptocurrency from customers outside Canada. I am a retired executive and am very familiar with technology since that's what I did my entire career. I had $100K wired to my account, so far, so good. It was easy converting USD into BTC but at a 'fee' of $1,485.00. Oh well, I knew and accepted the fee, so no issues. Then I went to send BTC to the brokerage in Canada. I just hit one button to start the process and immediately a message popped up saying my account was restricted/suspended because I had tried to send BTC to an illegal blockchain and I was suspended for at least a week. In the meantime BTC was steadily falling in value and was the reason I wanted the money tied in up BTC for as short a time as possible. I was shocked! I couldn't imagine what they were talking about! I hadn't input any information whatsoever as to where to send the BTC. I get their CS on a chat line and they just basically said there was nothing they could do and I was suspended... period! I implored them to reconsider and explained I had not tried to send any BTC yet or had even input any information as to where to send it but they still told me there was nothing they could do. They treated me like I was a criminal. I asked to please speak to a live person who I could explain this to and they initially said they would have someone call me in a few HOURS but eventually told me no one would be calling me for at least two days. No one ever called. I can't remember being so frustrated in my life. I had absolutely no ability to resolve the issue. They didn't offer anything to try and help either. In the meantime after hours of wrangling with them over the chat line my BTC had declined in value by approx. $2,500.00. Obviously I couldn't wait a week so they 'let' me convert my BTC back into USD, for another 'fee' of $1,485.00, to send back to my bank... approx. $5,500.00 less than when they received it a few hours earlier. Coinbase completely ripped me off. They literally stole almost $3,000.00 from me through their fees. I filed a formal complaint through their complaint department although I expect nothing will come of it. Their CS representatives told me on the chat line that I agreed to their fee structure and they can't be responsible for a crypto currency declining in value. I was told it will take up to six weeks to respond to my complaint. I have filed a formal complaint with the SEC and feel it is my duty to warn as many people as possible about getting involved with Coinbase. It is absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any company and at 73 years old that's saying something.”
