“I wish I could remember how I found out about Cort Composite Deck Cleaner, so I can thank them for tell me about such a fantastic product. We have a light grey composite deck, which gets dirty and develops small dark spots. This is the only product that has worked, making the deck look like the day it was installed. The photo shows the difference this cleaner makes!”

“Corte Clean Support suggested that I treat my composite deck with Corte Clean in mid-Fall before Winter weather set in but not rinse it off and that would minimize my Spring clean up as Corte Clean would continue to work over the Winter. Usually I have algae, mold and grime to clean up after Ohio Winters but I am completely amazed by what my deck looks like in May! No scrubbing and intensive washing is required this year. Instead of making a mess, Mother Nature's attack was harnessed by Corte Clean to clean my deck over the winter and keep it clean. I just have to sweep it off and perhaps give it a light rinse although Spring rain might even make that unnecessary. The close up I submit shows what the deck looks like without me doing a thing. Thank you Corte Clean for the time-saving product that makes my deck look new!”

What a beautiful, what appears to be a TimberTech capped composite deck, where the capping material on these products is not composed of a wood-plastic composite. Over time, with exposure to the sun & routine use of Corte Clean, your composite deck will get cleaner and cleaner. DO NOT SKIP the LABEL DIRECTION which states "•When Corte Clean no longer becomes dirty or discolored, it can be diluted & allowed to dry on weathered composite surfaces. Corte Clean is designed to continue to clean any time it receives moisture until thoroughly rinsed. A white residue may remain until thoroughly rinsed (use a brush if necessary). Thoroughly rinse composite prior to using." The best way to thoroughly is to apply before it rains or snows. Thanks for the testimonial!

“I have used CorteClean for a number of years with great results but somehow last year during covid-19 I did not use the product and then this year when I cleaned my deck the stains did not come out. So I called Greg the company owner and explained what happened and he said the product I was using was more than a year old and had past the expiration date so it probably was not strong enough to clean the stains. He gave me a special price and I ordered a new bag of the product and applied it exactly according to the instructions using the Four Scoops per gallon ratio and I left it on the deck for one day until it rained and then the next day it came out perfectly spotless ( pictures attached ). Corte Clean has a "Best If Used By:" date that's exactly 1 year from the manufacturer date. Product used beyond this date will generally fail, as you've unfortunately noticed, because it looses strength. That's why we put the date on every bag. We don't provide a "Guarantee or Limited Warranty" beyond this date as stated on the bottom of every bag, because we know it will likely fail. If you choose to purchase Corte Clean from the website, please make sure you use it before it goes beyond this date or you likely won't be satisfied. The fresher it is, the better/faster it generally works. We only ship the freshest product available which is generally made every few weeks. Thanks for the testimonial! You WIN a FREE BAG of Corte Clean. Please call next time you need it and remind us of this review. The recommendation & use of "other products", especially those that are "homemade" and/or especially those that contain scientifically unproven sodium hypochlorite to clean common black mold has been a serious problem in the composite decking industry for owners for all the reasons stated on the Corte Clean website. Unfortunately, unscrupulous composite manufacturer's, retailers & websites continue to recommend & sell dangerous products or concoctions of chemical's for this purpose. Why do you think they do this? Think increased profits might have something to do with it? It'd be hilarious as to the scam they are pulling off if it wasn't so laborious/expensive & dangerous for composite owners. Unfortunately, most uneducated composite owner's think they'll be saving a few bucks by using perceived inexpensive product(s) or homemade concoctions which ultimately can end up costing a fortune. That's exactly what composite manufacturer's, retailer's and websites want you to do.

“Corte Clean is our go to deck cleaning product for our composite deck. There's no other cleaner we've found that can do such an amazing job! The process of cleaning is simple...we have a rather large deck and my husband and I can have the entire deck cleaned in an hour or so with the help of Corte Clean. I've even managed it by myself. We built the deck roughly 12 years ago and, after each Corte Clean cleaning, it looks brand new! Prior to finding the product, we looked into having the deck professionally power washed and it didn't come out that well and the price was hefty. Corte Clean leaves our deck looking new and for a very reasonable price. We are huge fans of this product and use like clockwork each and every year. Thanks Corte Clean!”

The "Best If Used By:" date is critically important when cleaning deeply mold stained decking like yours. Once you get your composite deck thoroughly Corte Cleaned, proactively using it at the reduced "routine cleaning" strength is the key to generally spending less time, labor & money keeping it clean. “Corte Clean Composite Deck Cleaner is the best product we have found to keep our deck looking as close to new as possible. We have had this deck since 2010 (uncapped version), and when it is cleaned with Corte Clean, it looks great. We are Seniors and are still cleaning it ourselves--mostly my husband, but I have done it a time or two in his absence. To quote him, "Cleaning a deck is never easy, but CorteClean makes it rewarding." Reading and following directions are also important to get the best result. Customer service has always been helpful and courteous. Their delivery has been reliable all the years we have used this product. Not sure if photo actually attached, but if it did, you can see the results of cleaning with Corte Clean on the boards on the right. Those spots on the boards on the left are after being wetted down, and before cleaner is applied. Amazing results!”

Thank you for the black mold stained BEFORE (left of pictures) & AFTER (right of pictures) of what looks like Lowe's ChoiceDek. Following "the instructions" is the key to keeping composites clean & looking "like new!" Unfortunately, most composites require "regular maintenance." Fortunately, when Corte Clean is used "at least twice yearly, spring & fall, or when stains appear" at the "routine cleaning" reduced or UP TO 1/2 strength, one generally uses less Corte Clean, generally costing less money/time/labor. Most that neglect to properly proactively Corte Clean notice those stains caused by molds returning first & don't even notice that it clean all other common stains from grease & oil, rust & tannin's and more. Proactively Corte Cleaning composites before they receive moisture and stains return or deeply saturate on a routine basis is the key to generally spending less while being more eco responsible because less of our 100% biodegradable product is used. “Our composite deck was badly stained from years of neglect. The deck was stained with barbeque grease, mildew, planter rings, and organic material (leaves, bird droppings, etc.). We tried cleaning with a mild detergent which did nothing. We tried a power washer which started to damage the material. I bought Corte-Clean as a last hope of restoring our deck. Used as directed, it delivered as promised. I could not believe the difference! Even the barbeque grease stains were significantly improved. Corte-Clean does not promise to remove every stain, but it was definitely worth the money. I will continue to use this product and just purchased it for the second time to treated the rest of the deck.”

Wow! Your composite deck was a mold stained NEGLECTED mess! All stains will generally come out. Made sure you do not skip any Corte Clean label direction, especially the one that states "Rinse with water. Water magnifies stains. If stains are still visible, repeat application process. Composites that have tough stains, been NEGLECTED, or previously cleaned with other products and/or sealed may require several applications & additional Corte Clean." which you unfortunately need to complete the job. The Corte Clean label directions then go on to state "When Corte Clean no longer turns dirty or discolored, it can be diluted & allowed to dry on weathered composite surfaces. Corte Clean is designed to continue to clean any time it receives moisture. A white residue may remain until thoroughly rinsed (use a brush if necessary). Thoroughly rinse prior to using." By following these label directions, your composite deck should be 100% stain free. If Corte Clean won't remove the stains, they are likely permanent, however, your deck doesn't appear to have any permanent stains Corte Clean won't remove by following these steps. Failure to follow these steps will likely result in stains returning sooner rather than later. To show our appreciation of your review, especially with pictures, we want your deck to look 100% clean and are sending you FREE Corte Clean to complete the job. Once you get your composites thoroughly Corte Cleaned, please consider proactively using "Corte Clean at least twice yearly, spring & fall, or when stains appear to keep your composites clean. “I have a Trex deck located in New Jersey, which I have previously Corte Cleaned of mold, approximately 2 years ago. Corte Clean worked! Our deck looked like new. Last year we didn’t use Corte Clean, but only power washed. The mold got worse & worse as it took over the entire deck. We had some left-over Corte Clean with a “Best If Used By:” date that was in 2016. We tried using this product, and the mold stains did not come out, wasting our time and effort. I ordered fresh Corte Clean and called the company. So, I did the entire deck over. The deck wasn’t installed properly, with proper gapping. Water pools on the deck. It doesn’t drain properly. You can see how close the boards are in my pictures. That's a real problem. I had to blow the water off the deck. The only problem was that I was still working on the deck after the sun went down. So, in the morning there were a few water stains because it stayed wet overnight without the sun. Wow! A big difference. The fresh Corte Clean worked! I am very pleased. Finally got rid of all the dirt in between the slats. The mold stains are gone. I can live with the way the deck looks now and will proactively use Corte Clean so I spend less time and money.”

Thanks for the review w/ pictures! YOU WIN! FREE CORTE CLEAN FOR YOU! This will help keep your Trex deck clean, especially in NJ, where composites receive routine moisture, resulting in common black mold & is a known problem, especially with Trex decks. Proactively applying Corte Clean, at the “routine cleaning” strength “at least twice yearly, spring and fall, or when stains appear”, generally results in Trex staying clean for longer & longer periods of time, while costing less & less money or Corte Clean. The trick is to see how little one can use, saving money, while being as environmentally responsible as possible to keep your Trex clean. Neglecting them and/or power washing can exacerbate mold problems, as you have unfortunately found. Thank you for pointing out why the Corte Clean has a “Best If Used By:” date on every bag, states “works best in direct sunlight” & to “Make sure composites drain properly”! We don’t any person to ever waste unnecessary time or money cleaning or keeping composites clean. Hopefully Corte Clean got rid of any grease & oil or rust from your barbecue too?

“My husband and I used the Corte Clean Composite Clearner this weekend on our lake home deck. This product worked. It removed deep stains and brought out the deck's beauty. You must keep the product wet and let it sit for about 20 minutes. I wish I could show all the pictures especially the before and after but I could load only one.”

“I have a trex deck in a new construction home with 2 dogs. The grass just got installed last year along with the deck. This year the deck was so muddy and dirty I thought it would never look like it did last year. I followed the instructions exactly as it was stated and the deck looks brand new. I cannot believe the difference. I did have to rinse it very well to get all of the white residue off. I wish I took a before picture. The results are amazing. If composites arn't thoroughly Corte Cleaned, then they receive moisture from rain, the mold grows back. It's similar to pulling weeds, not getting the roots, then watering. When mold stains return on composites as pictured in your photo, it is best to "add 1 gallon of water to a plastic bucket" and add "up to 2.5 scoops" of Corte Clean powder "for routine cleaning. Then, "apply heavy, even coat of Corte Clean with pump sprayer." If "Corte Clean no longer becomes dirty or discolored, it can be diluted & allowed to dry on weathered composite surfaces [like your composite deck]. Corte Clean is designed to continue to clean any time it receives moisture. A white residue may remain until thoroughly rinsed (use a brush if necessary). Thoroughly rinse prior to using." Had this been done prior your deck receiving rain, then allowing the rain to thoroughly rinse, your deck would have remained mold stain free. Now that it has mold stains, applying like this will remove the mold stains, generally within several days if not immediately. This is why it is recommended to "Use Corte Clean at least twice yearly, Spring & Fall, or when stains appear." to prevent deep stains while removing new ones. Please call if you wish to discuss.
