“Do not use this company. Paid them to fix a laptop and have been trying for a month to get it back. Every day we are promised it is being delivered back to us ‘tonight/tomorrow’, only to have to chase them and be fobbed off with excuses such as ‘the van caught on fire’. Clearly have no intention of returning the laptop. There is no apology or response from the office.”
“Horrendous experience. Was told I needed a news screen & that they’d call with a quote, no call or quote cane, received call to say computer ready for collection & they’d wiped it. What kind of person wipes your hard drive without a conversation or quote or giving you the opportunity to remove hard drive to save info? When I called to complain they lied & asked What are you going to do about it laughing.

“when speaking to John on the phone regarding a hard drive issue he was very positive to use his his words" 98% confidant he could retrieve the data" and fix the machine with another hard drive, i had allready took the machine in to APPLE and the had confirmed the drive was not working correctly and as the machine was 9 years old they could not offer to retrieve the data however it should not be a problem for a compitant person to retrieve, when i arrived in Computer Solutions John took the machine and cut the front screen off in seconds and removed the hard drive, imediatly then the tone changed and now he was exsplaning that" its really difficult and time consuming to retrieve data, at this point i explained that if he was not confidant then their was no point to continue however he insisted and said he would run a program overnight all the time i was in the shop i got the impression he was waffling as now everything was an issue ! the next day i called and just as i thought he had not retrieved any data at all, i went to collect the machine and drive got charged £54 pounds, John was not complimentry to Apple (not professional )
i explained that i was sending the drive to a company in Wales, he immediately said they will take you drive apart and put the disk itself in to another drive and will charge you £400 quid, when i called the company in Wales they said they would not be taking the drive apart as their was no need as they were experts. as a result of feeling manipulated into taking the machine in to Computer Solutions under the pretence that to use Johns words again 98% confidant he could retrieve the data i decided to get the new hard drive installed somewhere else i have no doubts that John could have fixed the machine itself but after feeling that he had manipulated the situation and vastly exaggerated the issue and charged me £54 for the privilege i decided i would not be spending any money in this shop going forward, the disc has now been collected by the company in Wales free of charge and they will E.Mail me and inform me what data can be recovered at this point they will let me know the price if I'm not happy to proceed they will ship the disk back to me free of charge !! if you have DATA issues do not use Computer Solutions in my opinion from my experience, looking at other poor reviwes I'm confidant John will have something to say "waffling" !!!”
