“Continual.ly is a full-featured chat solution which we used for live support during a virtual conference. It helped provide a seamless experience for users and had a very low barrier to entry. Paul was very helpful with any questions and as a startup I appreciate the attention to detail. We didn't have any bugs or issues with the software. We're looking to utilise it for our sales teams in outbound messaging and are very excited by the prospect of url parameter triggered chatbots for ABX/ABM.”
“OKish bot builder with very shady business practises. I would stay away if I knew this before.
The product itself wasn’t bad 1,5 years ago although they stopped introducing new significant features. They are well behind the competitors in terms functionality and channel integration (facebook, whatsapp etc) speed and customer service.
BUT there is a more serious issue with the platform, their business ethics or better lack of it.
They launched their product on a platform where buyers pay a sum of money upfront in exchange of lifetime usage. Anyone forced them to do this, and it was their second time using the same platform to get more customers and cash injection.
They named the packaged they offered Business Plan which was a better option compared to today’s Professional plan.
4-5 months after the launch they changed their package names and told their customers that the package they bought doesn’t exist any more, so it is up to them whether a new feature offered to those people who trusted them.
Many features were offered to those people who trusted this company.
When I personally tried talk to the CEO he was arrogant and dismissive.
I sincerely believe that whole package name was planned before they launched their product on the deal platform.”
