“I Had bought a pair of Merrell shoes ate the Exeter branch in November 2021. Today in February 2023 the sole of one of the shoes had started to come adrift. I phoned Exeter and they told me to take them to my nearest store which is in Brighton. I visited the store this week and without hesitation they decided to replace the shoes with a new pair and also gave me a refund of £17 as the shoes had reduced in price since I last bought them. Wow what superb customer service. I have used Cotswold obver the years and this retains my loyalty for ever and also presses home the point about supporting retail shops. WEWll done the Brighton manager and team . Thanks you. Steve Wadman”

“Kingston branch went for a new pair of boots ;;\the assistant showed me i had been wearing wrong size and took considerable time and care finding a pair that fitted and was really comfortable. Really superb service from someone who knew their product and what was needed”

“Visited the Keswick shop twice on our holiday, once for a waterproof jacket and once for a backpack. I was impressed by the friendly and efficient service. All staff were professional, courteous and welcoming, helping everyone cope with hand sanitising and the one way system with good humour. Both staff I spoke to in detail were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, able to give good advice without pushing for a sale. I would definitely recommend this store.”

“I have just been to collect a pair of Salomon walking boots from the Leeds store after an hour on Wednesday of amazing help and advise from a young man there who's name I am sorry to say I did not get . He was helpful and gave some great advise and was patient and helpful through out. He is a credit to your company .”

“Covent gardens London store Very good customer service from Bruce today when I was really struggling on which sandal to buy. He measured my foot and explained clearly the best brand and size for my foot. I really wanted to buy from Cotswold, but unfortunately the shoe wasn't in stock or at any of the local stores and I travel tomorrow. I will be back for my next item of hiking gear.”

“This is the first time that I have used Cotswold Outdoor and would not hesitate to recommend them. When talking on the phone the staff were very helpful and friendly, giving me all the information I needed to make an informed choice on the goods I wanted. I placed my order and was informed that delivery could take up to 5 days, to my surprise and delight my item arrived the very next day, amazing considering I only placed the order at 3 pm the day before.”

“I was looking for a fleece to fit under my anorak in a bright colour. Of the three makes of fleece they sold the one I wanted was in black. However the assistant serving me, who was relatively new, took the trouble to look up on their web and find one in a suitable bright blue and arranged for delivery of it to the store in three days time, which it did. She also helped me with payment by a combination of a gift voucher and a refund voucher. She really gave excellent service and the item is splendid.”
